Many Many Many games...its actually enjoyable at Fenway...the fans are usually pretty good...and a GREAT baseball atmosphere.

Yankee fans at Yankee Stadium are bigger ass holes, in comparison (my opinion).

...But from what i've heard...they can be pretty big ass holes at visitors ballparks. And nobody can hold a candle to them, when it comes to 'homerism' & 'obnxiousness'...in every walks of life.

When I was at the Sox game a few weeks back some guy had the audacity to tell me that there was no team in the AL that had a chance of beating the Red Sox to get to the World Series.

Sadly, this type of thinking describes 90% of sox fans i've encountered.

lived in boston for 3 years. Went to a ton of red sox games. Red Sox fans are jealous of the yankees like no other fan.

I went to the M's game last night (and yes, it was worth the 25 dollars to hear and see one of the games greatest players come back to his home even in the 16-1 loss) and there was this fat piece of shit 'Sawks' fan sitting next to me. Right off the bat in the 1st inning the guy (wearing all his Sox gear) is hooting and hollering about the Red Sox and how they are the best team in baseball and are coming to Safeco on Monday. Totally obnoxious. When he notices the left field scoreboard hasn't gone to the top of the 2nd for awhile he frantically calls up his buddy who is apparently watching the Sox/Pads game on DirecTV. The guy goes onto scream and yell how 'the great' Dice K loaded up the bases and even gave up a run to the 'stinkin' Padres! Listening to this for 6 innings before the guy left was hell on Earth.

And so I ask, are all Red Sox fans this fucking obnoxious because the stereotype is that they are. Last night showed me that at least this Sox 'fan' (No doubt in my mind he jumped on the wagon after '04) should consider not going to his non team games if he is going to yell and shout how godly the Red Sox are.

Please, would the Jays, O's or even D-Rays please build up a solid team and win the division for a few years in a row? It used to be easy to cheer against the Yankees and root for the Sox. Boston with their fucking whiney "Evil Empire" crybaby BS has tied them in my books for obnoxious fans.

I still enjoy listening to the Remy during broadcasts tol be honest --- but I'd be more than happy to see both those franchises tank HARD for 5+ years and calm those fans down a notch.

unless there are big changes in the way baseball is run, the red sox, mets and yankees will be favorites and in contention nearly every year to win it all.

I think it sucks too. it fails on the fairness meter. but thats how it is. from what Ive heard, it was even a lot more tilted in the past.

I AM NOT IMPRESED by how many titles the yankees have. theyve been at this game a long time ( outspending, buying talent). if the royals won 3 world series in the next 20 years I would be impressed.
