Two 24-17 teams meet up today in Arlington. But those records are a bit misleading. Texas is a sparkling 15-8 at home. They are also 8-2 vs. East, with 4 wins against Yanx/BoSox, no losses. The Yanx, 1 game over .500, 11-10, on the road. The Yanx send their worst starter, Contreras, to the mound, after a couple of starts feeding the cows and chickens in AAA Columbus. Before his farmwork he was getting blasted to the tune of over a run an inning. Last start, proceeding his farm visit, got simply demolished giving up 6 runs to the light hitting A's. Made it two innings, another bad start. The Yanx score a ton of runs for him, but that cannot last forever. Rangers send Drese to the hill, who is actually pitching quite well. Talk about quality starts, 6 starts, shortest 5.2, never more than 3 earned runs. This Texas squad appears more together without big shot A-Rod. Seem to have enough advantages here to take a small position. Coming from the farm, to start on the road in Texas, is indeed a tough spot. I am very skeptical Contreras actually worked anything out, and he had problems in his Columbus starts. Decent home dog +1.21, as I passed last night's game, waiting for this one, scared of Brown. Basketball looks like pass city so far, even props. Best Wsihes...OF
