Subject: A practical look at redistribution of wealth

Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read 'Vote Obama, I need the money.' I laughed.

Once in the restaurant my server had on an 'Obama 08' tie, again I laughed as he had given away his political preference--just imagine the coincidence.

When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need--the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.

I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server inside as I've decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful.

At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient deserved money more.

I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.

If you wanted to make it more realistic than you should take the tip and donate it to a bank or financial institution.

I thought it was cute Barman...Also if you have a moment to read the article I posted from cnnmoney.com please give me your thoughts.....

ALSO I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on why BO doesn't mention that by letting the Bush tax lapse he is RAISING EVERYONE'S taxes??

Why does he keep saying he's not raising 95% of americans taxes when in 2011 EVERYONE will be paying MORE taxes??

Looking forward, Obama's actual tax plan would indeed allow Bush tax cuts to expire, but only for the top two income tax brackets. Those would revert to pre-Bush levels, and the brackets would be adjusted if necessary to ensure that they include only individuals making more than $200,000 per year, or couples making more than $250,000. (Two percent of the population will make more than $250,000 next year).

Alas, you poor sheepish slob (in the anticipated words of just about every righty ideologue), didn't you realize that 2% not only represents the entire populus, they speak for us too?

That tax cut was THE most irresponsible thing any administration has done in decades...given the FACT that we were going to war, the bastards gave a tax cut (it was touted as a temporary cut too) to the richest folks in the world....never before had that ever been done.

Old addage for you monkey brained Bushites: The rich have always said to us "we'll pay for the war, you fight it"

LOL this time around: We'll take a tax break, allow the economy to go in the shitter, you'll bail us out, we'll make you pay for the war with your money and your blood AND saddle your poor bastard kids and grandkids with unconscionable debt.

Thanks alot you self-serving mutherfuckers. How dare you try to justify it. Kiss my goddamn ass. Time to pay up.

Period.

Johnny Glade,

You need to read the rest of my post to understand my cynicism. I was being sarcastic concerning your statement...chill grasshopper, it's within your grasp

The Repugs are feverishly defending this "2%" saying it's redistributing EVERYONE's wealth, which we know is complete utter bullshit. Read my words (I ain't supporting McPalin and I despise Neocons with a passion)

I despise leftist, liberal ideology and the politicians that push it with a passion.

Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, Obama, Clintons, Biden,
Harry Reid - all vile pieces of shit, and poor excuses for human
beings.

The guy working at the liquor store telling me I should vote McCain because Obama is going to raise the capital gains tax was about the last straw for me.

Yeah, I really think a guy making 9 bucks an hour selling beer and cigarettes should be vehemently against a pro - middle class canidate.

CUSS, given that ZIT views at least 80% of Americans as Vile Stinking Piles of Shit, then at least you or me, or even both of us, qualify for his smoldering rage.
