Last week: 9-5 (+27.5)
Last 5 weeks: 39-20 (+134.4*)
10* Georgia -8
Bulldogs just too strong for Yellowjackets. Driving into Atlanta not much of a road game for the Athens crew.
10* Tennessee -10
Another road fave, but Vols too much for Wildcats, even in Lorenzon's last game.
10* Texas -19.5
Hate all these road faves, but Texas should win by at least 30.
7* Arkansas +10 (bought half point)
The Hogs should play the Tigers tough in Baton Rouge. Tiggers had an emotional win over Ole Miss last week, while Hogs tiptoed in the tulips with Miss St. Should be a closer game than spread indicates. Arkansas has some tough hombres.
7* Pittsburgh +3
Could be a wrong favorite here. I like the Panthers to win straight-up. Canes with severe quarterbacking problems.
7* Florida +1
FSU probably the more talented team, but something about playing in the Swamp swings it in the Gators' favor. FSU not totally clicking. Look for Gators to pull off mild upset.
Since I got Ole Miss -4 in September, I'm gonna just be happy with that. Current spread could go either way. Tempted to grab all those points, but just can't back a State squad who is 2-9 ATS this season (most of which I won going against them week after week.)
That's it until bowl season. Hope everyone enjoys their holidays in all ways.
Have no idea. Seems that Mizzou would have a good chance of covering, but not one of my conferences, and not a game that stands out to me either way. If pressed, would definitely go with Mizzou. Good luck on your decision.
REB-New to the forum but have been winning on many of your picks and follow them. Can't agree with you more than on Georgia. I think they beat them by double digits easy. Their defense will score more points than Techs offense!
Not so sure about Georgia as I had them against Kentucky this past weekend and the over also. They were anything but impressive, especially their offense and specifically the running game. I felt so lucky to get the cover as they looked horrible.
Georgia hasn't been hitting on all cylinders, but I think they should be into putting one on GaT.
Texas wins the easy games easily. A&M is just a bad team. It's a bittar rivalry, but I think there are too many weapons on the Longhorn side for them not to win going away.
Arkansas is usually a gamer when it comes to huge games. They rose up to put one on Texas on the road earlier this year. If they can get Cobbs running with the ball, they should be able to stay in this thing.
Thanks for your comments, guys. It's great to hear from each one of you. I feel really good about my card this week, and I hope we all enjoy a fantastic weekend. Good luck to each of you!
Also, just can't help myself.
5* Ole Miss -19
State's pass defense is worse than the Rebs', it's just that people don't have to pass on them because they can run on them at will. No way State's DBs can keep up with Rebel WRs. Eli ends college career with a career game.
Great call on MISS tonight! Was with you all the way. Love your BIG GA and TENN plays SAT. Think they'll both be blowouts.
On the otherhand...playing LSU HUGE tomorrow. Think this will be a big statement game for them. They need a decisive win and I think they'll get it. (Plus we need a rematch in the SEC championship game to help our BCS ratings, lol)
Best of luck to you and BTY...Can I borrow your crystal ball for the bowl games????
Prophet, I'll certainly share my crystal ball readings right here as always. Glad you shared with that Ole Miss win tonight.
I was slow in seeing it, but sometime in early afternoon I realized that the theory about State being up and the Rebs being down didn't cut it. I also realized there was no way State's defense was going to slow down the Ole Miss defense. I should have put this up as a 10* right from the beginning. Sometimes I see things early, and other times it's not clear until the last minute.
I played Ole Miss and ended up putting a bundle on parlaying and teasing Ole Miss and the under. I put enough on the tease to cover my parlay just in case it lost.
Sorry I didn't erase the teaser on Ole Miss and the over, which I put a small amount on, but then I held on to the slim chance that the number could fall in between and they would both cover.
Anyway, hope many of you also enjoyed the win with Ole Miss. Those 20 points looked like a nice number to take with MSU, but it turned out to be an illusion. Sometimes you just gotta go with the better team.
State ends their year 2-10 ATS. I was against them for about 8 of those losses, including 3 10*s and my 15* GOY (on Bama.) Anyway, for their sake I hope they get a decent coach. They have some real talent among their freshmen and sophomores.
NY Reb,
Enjoy your insight, like all the picks except for the 'Hogs, Nutt wasn't sure about the qb situation with Jones' shoulder and the Bengal 'D' will hammer whomever is in the game at qb. The more I think about this may be a pass for me. On the 'Horns,'Gators and 'Vols. GL
THANX FOR THE POSTS BRO...WORK HAS CONSUMED ME LATELY, AND HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO PUT THAT MUCH CAP TIME IN. ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR POSTS...I LOVE TEXAS TODAY!!!! BEST OF LUCK...EDDIE REBEL
