Just to be clear, this message isn't directed towards the poster, MetFan. It is to all Mets fans.

Quit your bitchin'...you are a half a game out of first place. You don't hear Yankees fans bitchin' and we are six out of first and six out of the wild card (in the loss column). Whenever I listen to WFAN, you would think the Mets hadn't won 7 straight (and ready to win another one) given all the complaining you do. Give it up, you may make the playoffs.

I'm not expecting the Yanks to make it this season. If they do, great. If not, oh well...I save a thousand + bucks on playoff tix.

Met Fans, it could be worse. You could be a Tampa Bay Rays fan and expect your team to actually make the playoffs and will watch them slide ride down the standings in the second half. (Much love to SH on that one.)

WORST METS MELTDOWNS HAVE GOT TO BE :

Rodgers walking Andrew Jones with bases loaded

or

The collapse last year like they did has to be the worst moment in Mets history bar none. To not make the playoffs up by seven games with seventeen to play, and all they needed was one win in their last few games against bottom division teams to get in and couldn't do it.

People I am a die hard mets fan living in philly and having been telling my friends here who are die hard phillies fans that these mets will make something happen.

If we can make a trade and get a decent bat, and perhaps some pitching, this team is going to make some noise. the problem is they are inconsistent and trust me i realize we have no shot at winning the whole shabang but to see the philly faithful get screwed again would make my year.

After last year, I can see why you are full of hate...takes awhile for those in New York to get over the choke label that the Mets bestowed upon themselves...

Tampa Bay isn't going anywhere. I would love to see them slide down so my Jays would have a shot at the playoffs, but they are just too good. They had a tough road trip, so what. The Indians are a good team when the bats are awake. Nobody is going to beat this team out for the wildcard.

1 word sums up Pedro Martinez's career with the Mets..................................PATHETIC!!!!
With this latest (and last) injury Pedro Martinez has officially stolen 40 million dollars from the New York Mets.
Pedro has posted a post 2005 record of 15-11, making 36 starts, pitching 201.4 innings, and posting a 4.69 ERA All the while the great Martinez has earned roughly 40 million dollars.

OTK--Was just giving a little ribbing towards Barman. Personally, I think the Rays need to prove themselves down the stretch, but I've been impressed by what I've seen so far, despite the Yanks taking two from them this past week :)
