Is this indicative of what they mean when they say the NFL ratings are down or are a lot of fans sick and tired paying sky-high prices to get the stadium or having to pay $9.00 for a cup of cheap beer? I can see why a lot of fans would rather watch the game(s) on TV or perhaps not watch the clash at all.

There can be many reasons why attendances might be down but either one of them certainly doesn't bode well for professional football as we once knew it.

My daughter was at the Saints game today and she said there were a lot of empty seats. I think the bad calls, bad refs, national anthem fiasco, games dragging forever are all contributing to their downward spiral. Jmo, lol.

Went to the Ravens>Cincy game today. Plenty of empty seats and zero traffic getting out.

The NFL game of football is structured to accommodate TV and political correctness (PC) today; The game is structured to where the play-calling is almost predictable and is managed (totally) from the sidelines......

I see a great play going for big yardage and I find that I stop watching the actual run and start looking for the yellow flag sign.

You aren't alone "dtmad"; the game has turned into a think-tank for the regulators (i.e. rules experts); The game is way over-regulated which has taken away from the original concept of how a football game was meant to be played......The Yellow Flag has become a significant part of the game. Soon there will be Attorneys present to prepare motions for appeal.

When they discuss ratings being down, it's TV viewers.

Lmao@ attorneys to appeal a flag......seriously, if it ever came to that, I really would quit watching it.

I have 70" HDTV, fios wifi, comfy ass couch, the temp is always perfect and food/drinks are plenty. Why the fuck would I spend $15 for some nasty hotdogs, dirty bathrooms, drunk ass people, etc...no thanks. My friends and I are just fine

the only reason Metlife wasn't empty yesterday was because Patriot fans filled the house

+1

add in the fact, wasting close to 1.5 hours for me driving to and from.

I'm not going to waste my Sunday, leaving at 10am and getting home at 4pm or after. NO thanks!

Even the faithful at Lambeau are grumbling and it isn't all because of the Packer losing streak......The NFL needs a fresh approach as to how a professional football team and their leagues go about their business to give the fans their money's worth. It could start by leaving the social issues in our society out of the game. Who in hell wants to see "protests" after spending $100.00 (or a lot more) for a ticket and a brat & beer ?

I still would like to know if any of the players wore pink jock-straps when the league entered the fray regarding domestic (spouse) abuse issues. If a player wants to become an activist, fine......just carry-on,..... off the gridiron.

It's become a strategy; chuck it deep and play for a flag. Like to see the numbers for real deep passes completed vs flagged.

If it wasn't for fantasy football and gambling the NFL would become extinct!

I had 4 seats at the old Texas Stadium. I used them for business and paid 129.00 each. I actually paid a ticket broker every year for the seats. Anyway, those same seats at the new AT&T stadium (Jerry World) are now over $400.00 each. Parking is 75.00. So you take a client out for a game on Sunday and you're out $1600.00 and does not include parking. But this is the good part. The PSL's for the "same" seats I had at the old stadium are $150,000.00ea. So If I wanted to watch the game in the new stadium from the same vantage point I would have had to pay $600,000.00 to get in the door and that does not include the tickets you still have to buy every year. Needless to say, I don't go to games anymore.

Better to stay home and watch all the games on HD TV. Cheaper, less time wasted, more entertaining...

If you live in a city with a bad team like The Rams, why drive all the way to the game, park, pay ridiculous prices for a beer & hot dog, waste 5+ hours total when you can watch New England, Dallas, Atlanta, Seattle, Pittsburg, et al on HDTV?

And so many of the players are getting to be arrogant scumbags, even despicable, not just Kap. And many celebrate like brainless animals after every routine play. And there are too many penalties and mistakes on penalties made by refs, especially PI. And the replays are getting ridiculous... what constitutes a "catch"??? Why are some plays not reviewable? And injuries... why pay to go to a game and your franchise QB is out for the year, plus a star WR, a good RB, and 3 DB's?

Fun to bet on, though.
