Hey all... working on a mid-season fantasy league with a little different scoring system than most are used to.

I think I have a good idea with most of the numbers I want to use... but could use (and will listen to) any and all helpful input.

Thoughts here would mean a great deal to me, as I'm trying to basically re-invent the wheel here and not sure who is worth more money when it comes to these stats, either....

Scoring:

Single - 1
Double -2
Triple - 3
Homer - 4
Run Scored -1
RBI - 1
Stolen Base - 1
Base on Balls - 1
Hit by Pitch - 1

Perfect Game - 25
No-hitter - 12
Win - 5
Shutout - 5
Save - 3
K - 1
Walk - negative 1
Hit batsman - negative 1

I want to include WHIP and ERA... But need help with the way I score it

Tentatively, I wrote down

0-0.50 - 10 points
.51-.75 - 7
.76-1.00 - 5
1.01-1.20 - 3
1.21-1.35 - 1

Now, should I deduct points for higher amounts. Say 1.36-1.50 is zero. Then do I go 1.51-1.70 is minus -1... and 1.71-1.90 is minus -3, and 1.91 on up is minus -5??? Or just leave it be....

And I have no clue where to start with a decent ERA chart.

ALSO - THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. I am trying to assign a salary cap to the league and to assign ratings to players, so that way you have to draft with balance.

Thinking one position player at each spot, a DH, 5-6 pitchers, and 5-6 on the bench...

Any help with anything here (even a website that has a scoring league similar to this idea or ESPECIALLY a good site for player values)... would be tremendous....
