First time posting in the equestrian section. Haven't followed the horses closely in a long time, because to do it correctly you have to commit the time . I grew up in Queens and was a hot walker for Harvey Vanier back in the 70's. I plan to get into the trotter business in a couple of years for the fun of it. Enough with the biography, and on to the horse. I was sitting in my local watering hole one day after work last month and was watching a few races on the boob tube with the sound off, betting a buck a race against my buddy. I had this 10-1 shot named Graham Cracker who was ridden like the jockey had shades on instead of goggles. Allowed to settle near the back of the back he began to pick it up on the turn and then was taken to the inside behind a wall of horses where he had to be collected before being taken to the far outside where he finished 3rd really striding out. Woulda, shoulda, coulda ipso facto I got myself a horse sitting on a win next out . Just got the form after seeing he was entered and I see nothing to dissuade me he is sitting on a big effort. Top apprentice Fragoso picks up the mount, and top trainer Shug McGaughey has breezed him 3x since his last race. He had 2 sprint preps before the improved effort last out at a distance. I am going to cap the other races around it and key him . My question is about the exotics. Saturday is a 10 race card opposed to the usual 9, and I was wondering about pick 3's ,dd, ect with the 7th race involved. Comments appreciated.
