guys, i'm the farthest thing from a shill. one of the bigger cynics you'll find, actually.

but i can't help but come here and put in a good word for betphoenix.com and their customer service reps.

i have never made a deposit to my account there, and yet they've treated me with the kind of service one would expect if i was a regular $1000 bettor. they've provided me two generous Bonus Plays ($40 BCS Freeplay, and $64 March Madness Freeplay...both of which I lost of course), and now they've generously given me money for placing in the Derby contest.

all 3 times i've made contact with these guys i've come away impressed, far more so than any of the other "big name" books we all know and use.

anyway, i think richard and his staff over there deserve every bit of this high praise. obviously their payout effectiveness remains to be seen by me, but thus far in the booking process, i've been nothing but impressed. A+ book if i'm doing the grading.

and no, i have no shit on my nose right now. :^)

perhaps they've heard from the other books i'm a consistent loser and therefore realize they're at no risk by offering me a few bucks and requiring a 7-times rollover. :^)

I've read lots of reports of them stealing Bonus Plays they given on deposits. Also seen someone from the company bitching about steam players on a forum. While the -105 lines are enticing, the reports i've read have kept me from depositing there. Top 5? No way. Top 5 (that cater to u.s. customers) in no particular order: bookmaker, greek, betjamaica, matchbook, WSEX.

We have not stolen from anyone sir. We do not look to bonus players that wait on steam and look to beat you to the punch (not a shop out there that will). We will however take that action straight up at decent limits if you are a steam chaser. Also, if the action is just pure and ahead of the moves, we do not care about bonus either. If you are good, you are good and that is not an issue.
