A Friend Considering moving abroad

A friend of mine is considering moving abroad. Look at Brazil, Costa Rica, Bahamas and host of other Central, South American, and Carribean locations.

I believe he has around 10K saved up. Any thoughts suggestions on Costa Rica. He is not sure what he will do for work as he has worked in sales his entire career, but just wants to try living abroad for a while.

I have a couple friends that moved to Florinopolis, Brazil. I knew them both before but they hadnt met until the second one arrived there. They loved it, hot chicks, close proximity to the beach, cool beach vibe, and decent paying jobs for native english speakers working for people who arent arent obsessed with sucking out your soul until you are just as the sad miserable as the owner of said business.
