the first round of the playoffs is very important and
actually means something in the NHL. for example
just look at the series prices. in the NHL it is unusual
to exceed - 300 in a series. in the NBA there is
usually a series or two that the favorite is favored
by double digits. also, bottom seeds have made the finals
in the NHL highlighted by the kings winning the cup
just a few years ago in dominant fashion.
in the NBA i think the last #8 to make the finals was
98-99 knicks. brings a whole lot of excitement
when you know your team has a chance to actually
win when you are a #8 seed.

That's why you gotta bet the games lol

Obviously your overall point is mostly correct but I think if your into the sport then good matchups that don't necessarily have much bearing on the final result of the playoffs can still be interesting.

NBA is predictable.......Cavs are automatically in the finals......Same for the Warriors.

respect for yourself and your profession is certainly a difference ... catch an NHL player arriving in this attire and you will see someone in the press box for that playoff game. embarrassing....

there are handy remedies for that......though your Lege not quite ready to follow Justin's call to cease supporting U.S.-driven 21st century Prohibition

perfect. him and russbrook got plenty of time to share fashion tips this spring (as usual)

at least Burns still rocks the fully button shirt, suit jacket, and tie and not some San Fran bum look

another difference. a key injury in playoff time can totally
ruin your chance to win it all in the NBA. two years ago if i remember
correctly, the lightning almost over came the loss of their
best player, stamkos, and made it to the finals and were
quite competitive.

ive made my point on why the nhl is irrelevant many times. ill just say, look at the ratings. this league's playoffs arn't even beating tv re-runs. nobody cares about the nhl.

the nba is the firm number 2 league in the us, with the mlb noticeably behind.

and some of the top leagues in the world have only a few competitive teams. look at la liga in spain, bundesliga in germany. rating powerhouses, yet most seasons you know who'll end up winning the league.

even the premier league is fairly predictable outside of leicester city's crazy run.

random winners don't mean much when its a league nobody cares about to begin with.
