i think it's more on someone finding a connection with someone outside of marriage that they lost or never had in the marriage. that's assuming that both parties are both of a mature age and have the types of values that support a faithful marriage.

a lot of women cheat because they make a connection with a man and she sleeps with him more to keep his interest than anything else. not a lot of men are going to endure mundane conversations with the opposite sex without expecting a payoff....
