I'm looking to bet the road team more often, as I prefer dogs.

Home dogs in the NFL. Can almost bet them blindly.

Besides betting the dogs, is there any other reason to bet one side over the other?

When laying -1.5 runs I don't like doing it on home side.

This must be based on your past experiences? So you would say you look for the (dog prices) more then whether they are a home or road team?

i look for a small priced road dog because what that tells me is the dog is probably the better team. a 2-point NFL dog tells me w/o HFA the dog would be favored at home or on a neutral field

also - for me - dog in football getting LESS than +3 i M/L them 100% of the time. odds are a +2 dog is NOT going to cover ATS unless they win SU so why not take the extra $.25ish in MY pocket

So for you price is everything? If you liked a team playing on a neutral field, but the price not being to your liking, would you still take it?

Based on history and experience overall I presume? A lot of people have been leaning towards the better or best price!

EVERYTHING? NO! A decent part of it - sure!

When the fave is -2/-2.5 most of the week then goes to -3.5 or -4 later - that will get me off the game 99% of the time (or maybe Vice Versa)

i have been "killed" for saying this before - but will say it again

I would rather LOSE a play on (what i feel is) a GREAT line - then win a play on (what i feel is) a BAD line

in the long run - bet bad lines and you will soon not be making any more bets

there are certain lines that should NEVER be bet

#1 on that list is the WORST line in all of sports:

NHL: Dog +.5/-140

just a TERRIBLE line - and one that should NEVER be played - instead you need to find a book that has "Pick +100" for in the long run - playing this +/5/-140 will send you to the poorhouse

I dont know if that really makes sense, after all if playing the +.5 -140 will send you to the poor house over the long haul, are you saying that taking the -.5 +130 is a sure road to riches?

a more accurate answer would be that each situation is different, for example, if the Devils are playing another defensive team & you forsee a tie as being very likely, then perhaps you would opt for the extra half goal, if however you expect a shootout the ML might be a better buy.

Am I missing something when you say that? Do you feel that the home team is like the road team because of the price?
