The line is moving since I went to bed last night. It was -120 and now it sits 10 cents higher. Obviously Philadelphia losing four straight has people taking notice. Even with the velocity of a high school fastball, Jamie Moyer continues to be the most reliable Philadelphia starter not named Cole Hamles. In 24 starts this season the 45 year old southpaw has only allowed 4 runs or more just five times. Even more impressive is Moyers current groove of 12 consecutive starts of 3 runs or less. That hasn’t been accomplished by a Phillies pitcher since 1967. You would have to go back to June 1st to find his last rough start and that was 5 runs allowed vs Florida in a 7-5 win. My gut says Moyer will continue to pitch well through tonight. You don’t get to be a 45 year old MLB pitcher just because your left-handed like some suggest, he is successful because of his nasty change-up and the Padres are a team that seems to prefer to sit dead red.

Sad Diego has struggled this year to get on base vs left-handed pitching as they have the worst OBP against lefthanders then anyone in Major League Baseball and are third lowest in BA. This is also the same team that has the lowest BA and OBP at home. Greg Maddux is coming off of two impressive quality starts and has won three straight, but I think that ends tonight. The Phillies are a team one through eight that can pound the baseball and even thou Petco is a big park, the Phils will be able to score some runs against Maddux who lives on the corners. Philadelphia has lost four straight, all coming on the road in LA. The Mets meanwhile have won 3 straight and overtaken the lead in the East. The Phillies must beat a team like this if they plan on staying in contention. I expect them to be focused and ready tonight.

Like the play, on it as well. Also a huge Tool fan Soumi

Not too many Tool fans around these days. You have to have a real appreciation for music when the music only comes out twice a decade. :toast:

No offense again, but luckily they were playing the Padres.

Keep the run going.

Whatever dude. Im not sure what that is supposed to mean but for posting picks that doesnt have to and does it for free, thats a ballsy thing to say. Also, when was i supposed to take offense in the first place? Did i not say Jamie Moyer would not pitch a good game? Did i say Philly would blow them out? Unreal. :missingte

I meant the Phillies didn't have any offense again. Expected to be the best lineup in the NL and their not doing shit. Didn't mean offense to you.

Keep up the great run.
