If that's the case then what was the danger in fouling? 2 FT's would have put them up and then if they didn't score they could have easily called it a night at that point down 8 with under 15 ticks.
With few exceptions (Quarterbacks in general), I don't consider professional athletes to be the most intellectual....but i cannot think of one person on the Boston team that is smart enough to realize this within seconds (Including Doc)
