I love the Under in the White Sox/Red Sox game.. White Sox do not manufacture runs, Red Sox are coming off emotional series w hated rivals, could be flat..

Don't really like the card but think there are a couple of decent dogs.. SF at almost 8/5 is generous, also think the over in the Cleveland game looks enticing..

Any other thoughts?

I like the Red Sox RL. They roughed the Tigers up after that embarrassing series at Yankee Stadium earlier this month. Buch making his third start at home where he has pitched pretty well. Not likely Contreras puts together back to back good starts...in which he did last time out against KC. Not exactly a trend to call home about...but its true.

Over has been hot out in Washington

I'm leaning towards the Red Sox. The whole 4 game series against the White Sox looks interesting... Wanted to take the Phils at first but -265 is too expensive, and I don't really trust the RL, as I've seen people on this board get pissed with the amount of one-run games out there.

That Angels/Tigers game looks interesting too...

I already made a thread, but since you're more well-known and we're probably get more thoughts and opinions, i won't bump it.

Ian Snell main troubles was command before getting sent down to the minors, but has gotten better. The reasoning of why his two home starts are bad is because of the level talent, potent and patience line ups that fest of pitchers of his style. Tonight's match-up bodes well for him as the A's being close to the bottom of the list in walks in the month of August in walks with 56. Now he should be riding some confidence since out pitching Verlander on the road, and will be facing one the weakest line up since joining the Mariners.

Don't be fooled by Mazzaro recent stats numbers he has been flirting with trouble. He isn't back to June form where he was striking hitters out, and limiting their hits to an average of five. He's only K'ed four in his last three outings, with allowing an average of eight hits and hasn't gone passed the fifth inning. While getting hit at high clip by both sides of the place (.318 LHB. 328 RHB). Yes, Mariners do have a weak hitting club, but against a pitcher whose simply not dominating and fooling hitters and seems either lost confidence or the league has figured him out they can tack on runs.

You don't come out flat when you're fighting for a wild card spot that is a tight race, and just got your ass kicked.

Interesting the market has pushed the Rays price up. Its clear Halladay is unhappy and may be affecting him on the mound dealing with being unmotivated.

Any thoughts on that game?

I want to try the Phi/Nym game but I'm afraid it's one of those games where it'll be a one run win by the huge fave. Betting on the Mets will win big but the chances of them winning are too slim. What do you guys think of the Over 8? Lee is bound to give up more than a couple of runs I think...and Phillies are hitting Parnell decently this season.

My lean would be the over in that game...and that is the only play I would give a look at. Phillies RL is way to pricey, IMO.

Hmm I don't know about the over in the Phils game... Lee has been almost unhittable by the other teams... I think the Phils will win by a run, but the RL is too risky... ML is the way to go but it's way too expensive... i'll stick with the Red Sox tommorow

Phils RUN LINE -- Until proven otherwise you have to ride Lee. He has been to dominant in the NL and the Mets lineup is horrible. Phils by 6 tomorrow..

Nothing really screams value to me except Weaver at home at a decent price, but shit he's going against Verlander so it's not really a good price. I'd wait on that game as I think the line will move down.
Best value is on Angels.
Other games I'd like are Red Sox but no fucking value in that game and a dangerous bet, only other bet I like valuewise is Seatle.
Not a good card tommorrow, little value, this is the time of the year to become very selective, value is scarce and upsets are more prevelant.
I do like Tampa BAy here, I don't think Holliday is motivated and Tampa always plays him tough.

BAL and SEA very solid risk/reward ratios

Nice summary by HungerFM on the Seattle matchup and it should be noted they are 6-2 in first game off Road. PPub mate SCOTT L has a nice Angle also that Seattle in overall Game1s at Home are about 80% getting results directly inverse to their preceding game - in this case a loss at Cleveland

Oh, and Oakland in Game1s Away this season a meager 5-14

----
Regarding the Baltimore selection...though they've been tedious for the most part on the road this season, they have managed to go 8-12 in Game1s

Meanwhile, first game Off the road for Minnesota was a 12-1 last year, but they're just 5-5 so far this year.

And Twins only allowed three runs Sunday. In their past 20 games After Allowing 3orless, Minnesota is an ugly 6-14
