When a nasty October blizzard paralyzed Connecticut a few years ago (too many leaves were still on the trees creating massive power outages), we were NOT impacted at all. we still had everything. But because of long lines at gas stations, with restaurants being either closed or impossible to get in to, with many commercial businesses closed, we decided to GTFO just to avoid the insanity.
Of course, all we had to do was drive to a neighboring state. Not so easy in TX, especially without gas

I only looked for a place yesterday evening because wifey has less than a gallon left..waiting about 5 mins in a parking lot with a minimum of 60 cars.
I filled up at 5:00 yesterday morning before working out, and there was no one out.
Our works both said to just remote in from the house.....
The issue was that people had Labor Day plans...to get out of town. So you had to make sure you had gas to get out...but I would guess that lots of plans are being shut down with the outages being so widespread...it's preventing some of our fam from coming in from 2 hours away.
I'm glad we had just planned on hanging out all weekend. Perfect CFB weekend...fairytail weekend. Will get a chance to help wife appreciate collegiate athletics again.

Headed home after a half day of work tmw,though,and back at it on Tues. we could be living it up. Need someone else to spend this company dime with me...
I got gas on Tuesday for $2.29 in Jersey.....I went by that station today $2.69
