This was from the yahoo email I got:

Beginning with the playoffs, I'm proposing everybody has to make two picks per week. Once we hit the playoffs, all teams become available to all remaining participants again. Maybe with two picks per week we can shrink the field. Let me know your thoughts.

SO, we play as is until playoffs, picking one team. Then when playoffs start, all teams are available again to everyone but we make 2 picks. Is thats correct?

Wouldnt it be better to start selecting two teams starting this upcoming week or next? Just a suggestion

Another perfect week

5 weeks max to go

3 regular season, plus the first two weeks of the playoffs. I mentioned early in this thread we would only go two weeks into the playoffs. Four games each week. After that, playoff survivor gets fucked up

I'm thinking about proposing a change for the playoffs, everybody has to pick two teams. As always, any change would require unanimous consent of all remaining participants.

I'm good with what you all decide.

I gave it some thought, but the fact that teams reset makes a difference to me. If we say people have to start making two picks now, then one can argue they would have picked differently and maybe saved different teams for the stretch.

So strategy could have changed.

That's why I'm opting for the playoffs

There has been at least one objection to changing the rule for this year, so we'll continue to pick just one team through the playoffs

5 weeks max to play

5 undefeated, 6 one loss teams, good luck to everyone

# 26 has to pay by 1:00 today, he just signed up

Payouts

First; $ 9,750
Second; $ 1,300
Third; $ 650
Last unbeaten; $ 1,300

$ 13,000 total. Down 4 from last year, but considering people don't want to bother because of the pandemic and / or some people have lost or are worried about their jobs, 26 is pretty good. Next year we'll shoot for 40

As always, the remaining participants can split the prize money any way they so choose we unanimous consent from all remaining contestants

From Sept 13th

The Browns eliminated two players today (a little surprised they were still played after they announced their entire receiving core was out)

Moving on to week 17

4 unbeaten teams
2 once beaten teams

20 eliminations

Last unbeaten positions still worth $ 325

Each strike worth $ 1,170

If it finishes as is

4 unbeaten teams win $ 2,665

2 once beaten teams win $ 1,170

No strikes in week 17, and now moving onto the playoffs

We're only playing the first two weeks of the playoffs, and then this contest is over unless all remaining participants agree to something else

This is why, since you can only take a team once, you can't take your projected SB winner before the SB and you can't take your conference champions before the conference championship, which means things get all fucked up. You'd have to pick against the team you think is going win so you can pick that team the next week :). Of course that doesn't make any sense

In wildcard weekend, we have six games to choose from. The next weekend you have four games, still enough to choose from.

There are six teams remaining. Do all six of those teams support going to two picks per week for the playoffs?

Please PM me

I vote yes, 5 to go

Leaving it at one

Next year I'm going to make two picks mandatory beginning with the playoffs, maybe even as early as week 16 or something.

But the truth is that this is not an issue most years. Three years ago it was, then again this year, but not for any other year of this contest. Although last year several people split the pot

You could put in the future rules "if there are more than X number of teams remaining the 2 pick rule goes into effect."

Same place, on Yahoo

On their site, our contest runs through the playoffs. I'm just ending it after next weekend. So officially, there are two weeks left

The two people with 1 strike both picked TB yesterday

The four people with no strikes are all on the Saints

If the Bears win, we may just crown a champion next week afterall
