There is absolutely no good reason for this total to be so high. The oddsmakers are making a huge mistake here. They were probably focusing more on how many points Indiana averages at home, rather than the trend that occurs when these 2 teams meet. The fact is, the 76ers and Pacers have already played 3 times this year, and not once has the total even come close to 200 points, let alone 211.5. Neither team has broken the 100-point barrier in the 3 contests. The first game these teams played, they combined for 186 points. The second game they combined for 189 points. The third game they combined for 193 points. To put it bluntly, when these teams meet they're only averaging 189.34 total points. When you see this average over 3 games and the oddsmakers come out with a total like 211.5, the little degenerate gambler voice in the back of your head should be screaming, "Bet me please!" Of course it is entirely possible this total could go over, here at Wise Guy we don't believe in "locks," but if you have any faith whatsoever in statistical analysis, it's pretty clear after 3 trials so far this season that these teams don't score many points against each other. The value in the under here is as plain as the blue sky. Book it.
