Now thats hard to believe.

Yes I have heard this as well....I do not know what the line was though...

My guess 4 or less...another 'razor sharp' Super Bowl line :think1:

Thats unbelievable.

They were 16-0 heading into that game. Maybe they have a very soft schedule??? Still 16-0 is 16-0!!

What was the Skins record that year?

Bob Griese missed a big chunk of te undefeated season but did play the entire Super Bowl...

Griese 8/11 88yards passing! That was it...

Well, I guess that had no effect on the line. What was Washington's record?

Also in the NFC Champ Game Wash crushed defending SB Champ Dallas 26-3

While Miami barely got by the upstart Steelers , I believe that score was 21-17, the Steelers fresh off the immaculate reception game...

While Miami was undefeated they did have some close calls..

jman- That was pretty darn quick!

12-2, not bad, but should have warranted being a favorite over a undefeated phish team. Again I have no idea about what happened in 72, so I am basically talking out of my butt.

Another thing that was an oddity, the AFC Champ game was played at Pitt...back then the Champ game alternated divisions...

Miami was undefeated yet had to go to Pitt to make it to the big game...

Pitt nearly beat them, if I am not mistaken the Steelers had the lead 17-14...we all know it was the beginning of the phenomenal Steelers run, starting the following season...

72 dolphins played the second easiest schedule in nfl history!!! Beat two 8-6 teams, all other teams had losing records! 84 niners, 85 bears 91 skins, 03 pats much more impressive single seasons!

Before you rip the 72 Dolphins keep in mind that they had the highest scoring offense and allowed the least points on defense that year. Talk about being one on both sides of the ball.
