Let me repeat this because this is big for teaser players; in my earlier post I explained that 5Dimes is using different point spreads for teaser bets:

(examples are from 2 weeks ago)

Tonite if you wanted to play Denver they were using a 7' point spread all day when the spread was 7. That means that if you liked the dog you were getting 1/2 to 1 point extra in your teaser without paying for it.

You can get an extra point on the following dogs right now (I AM NOT PLAYING THESE, THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE!)

Balt +8'
Ny Giants +8
Carolina +8'
Oakland +7
Miami D +7'.

This adds value to teasers and I strongly encourage having them as an out if you like teasing dogs. If you are teasing the favorite though, it will cost you more and I would recomend doing those plays elsewhere.

They do this for that reason. They attract alot of dog teasers. If you take all their dogs that are shaded a point and tease them, 1 or 2 always lose. This is a very sharp line manager at this shop IMO.

First Off, I am not going to take all of the dogs. I am going to play the dogs that I like at 5Dimes and play the favorites that I like elsewhere (assuming that the lines are better elsewhere).

Second, I disagree with you. The general public tends to play the favorites and I am sure, for example, that tonights Monday night game saw more teasers on the favorite than on the dog.

Third, for those players that are successful playing teasers (including me), my chances of winning are increased by every extra 1/2 point or point that I can get.

Finally, funny that you say that the bet manager is smart for trapping the dog players. I was thinking that the bet manager was smart for getting the public favorite players to either get shaved 1/2 point to a point or to charge them more money to tease the favorite.

This weekend the general public must have gotten crushed playing the Giants, the Rams, the Seahawks and possibly the Broncos tonight.

Furthermore, I also play 10 point favorites (which to me in the NFL are ridiculously easy). The Dolphins might be 1-6 straight up but they are 7-0 against the 10 point teaser number. I have the Dolphins +17' at the Jets instead of +16'. The way these NFL games almost always come down to the last play and with the number of back door covers every week, give me extra points on the dog.

Love the NFL doggies in teasers, I sometimes play the 13
point teasers. This was my first losing week using this
style. You are right these games are usually tight,
and many times decided with team that has the ball last. You are
sitting pretty with an extra 10 or 13 points.
