Better than spending 4 hours at the 1-2 cash games. I play on Carbon and they're on the Merge Network. I play a lot of MTTs and play in the 1-2 cash games. I won a 4k guaranteed recently. I feel your pain on playing 4 hours and cashing 30 bucks but if AQ holds up you're in the ball game. I just look at it as great practice. Every hand you see is a tad bit more seasoned you get. I'm lucky enough to close enough to Tunica to go play live to get the best of both worlds. I play 1-3 and 2-5 cash games and they have a sweet weekly $150 buy in 12K GTD tourney with 30 minute blinds. I try to play it regularly. Carbon has there big open series coming up in September. I believe it's 2 million GTD.... I play regularly in the nightly 10k and 7.5 GTD and also been playing in the 3.5k gtd 6man max. I know nothing but Carb as I haven't played anywhere else in a while. I like it because of the good nightly MTTs. I've been wanting to get into another room. What network does 5D run on? You obviously love it because you've been kicking its ass. Absolutely great run bud. How are the cash games? I may need to throw some dough in there soon and get down on some MTTs. I play a good bit on an iPad so do you know if they have the correct software.
So I finally gave someone a bad beat instead of taking one. Let me set the stage: Bought in to the 1-3game for 180 and had run pretty well and had $400 in front of me. I was on a card rush and have a rule when you're on a rush, you play it until someone raises big to get you off a mediocre to bad hand. So I'm in a nice little rush and get 10/7 suited diamonds on the button. Folds around to the player to my immediate right and he raises to 6 with AK diamonds, I smooth call, and the big blind comes along. We're 3 way. Flop A, 9D, 8D. I'm open ended straight flush draw, and AK is sitting pretty with top pair and Top draw. Big Blind fires $9. AK snap calls lol, then I call.... You know AKs dick got hard. Turn is the 6D. I turned my first ever straight flush and immediately think calm down and maximize on this... Pot at this point is $45 or so. BB checks, and to my surprise AK fires $32, I sit there but my first thought was Fuck me he doesn't have the A high flush.... Honestly thought he had flopped a set of 8s or 9s and had fucked around on the flop and not pumped it.... At this point I'm thinking I'm just going to call the $32 and he's going to check the river and I'm going to value bet it... Was trying to figure out what he would call... Boy was I wrong. I sit there for a minute and just smooth call and BB folds. River is a 2C. AK sits for about a minute and a half and says $32.... He has me covered and the pots at around 140.... I thought to myself damn he has the AHigh flush and is value betting.... So I sat for a couple minutes and I thought about min raise but if you just min raise me on showdown I get a little suspicious.... So I think and I plan to really come over the top hard to try get any thoughts of straight flush off his mind and make him think to himself he wouldn't bet that much with a SF.... I raised the $32 bet to $128 total and I didn't 128 out of my mouth good and he says all in. Of course I snap call and he flops over AK so confidently and I say I hit it and I swear his eyes gets so big and says hit what. My cards were turned up and I had to tell him I hit the straight flush. He told me later that the straight flush never entered his mind.... But he did it to him self with the min raise with AK suited... If he would of raised to $10 i would of folded especially with just me and him at the time. I think about that hand all of the time and all I can think is $128 damn that's a terrible raise lol.... Hey but it worked out... Just wanted to share. Ill tell you about a semi bad beat I took another day.. Keep running hot bud!
