What a destruction! Rich may not have been 100%, but good night. Franklin couldn't escape the clinch. I knew Silva could win, but this was way too easy.

Silva and Sherk were very impressive. I don't know if any of the current crop of UFC 155's can beat Sherk. He's like a mini-Matt Hughes. The only guys who can compete with him are BJ Penn (if he moves down from 170), Gilbert Melendez and Takanori Gomi (PRIDE) and maybe JZ Calzan (American Top Team fighter in K-1 Hero's).

As for Silva, this totally opens up the division. I'm sure Dana and Xyience aren't happy about this b/c Rich is one of their few marketable fighters. Maybe Dan Henderson will come to UFC from Pride.

Watch out for Jon Fitch at 185.

Also, Cheick Kongo proved tonight that the UFC Heavyweight Division is a joke. I thought he was the easiest pick on the board besides Jardine. I think Tim Sylvia is barely a top-5 heavy in all of MMA. He would get killed by Fedor, CroCop, Noguiera and Barnett (who are all in Pride).

Yes, Franklin lost and lost big. This was honestly more destructive than what he did to Leben. At least with Leben it was just one shot. This was a barrage of Muay Thai fighting.

he didn't just lose, he got brutalized! silva's clinch was like a clamp, franklin just couldn't get out and was knee'd apart ouch.
