That sounds hot. Snowmobiling sounds fun. I've raced motocross, skied, and boarded. Never ridden a snowmobile. Looks fun as hell.

It's the balls.

When the conditions and trails are good, you can get those things moving.

I rather have a foot of snow than the 60 MPH wind gusts here in Pa........

All of the north east is expecting severe high winds & extreme cold. You guys in Mass. are being pimp smacked around. Another foot of snow coming with hurricane winds, that's nuts! Temperatures are gonna be insanely cold rest of the week.......that snow in Boston will melt in April.

I wish we got more snow in southern Pa.......it has missed us a lot.

80" in three weeks by tomorrow night where I live twenty miles north of Boston. The shopping center about a half mile away has 25 or 30 foot mounds. 20 foot icicles hanging from three deckers. Everything is surreal. Shoveling snow everyday from the ground and the roof. Traffic is crawling in Boston, the epitome of gridlock. Subway is severely compromised. Lines extend hundreds of feet to get on the bus. Businesses can't open. People are losing it.

Thank God the Patriots won.

What you think of the Wynn going in Everett?

Crazy. Wynn said that it was easier doing business in Red China than in Mass. Can't believe that he doesn't tell them to go f*k themselves. Vote after vote. Millions after millions. The region is already gambling saturated. Here's the progression. Suffolk Downs - horses. Rockingham - horses. Lincoln Downs (RI) - horses. Narragansett Park (RI) - horses. Wonderland - dogs. Raynham - dogs. Seabrook - dogs. Foxboro - trotters. State lottery. Connecicut casinos. Online betting. Gambling saturation. All horse tracks either gone or will be gone in short order. Trotters gone. Dog tracks gone. Seabrook now simulcast only under agreement to be torn down pending pollution / asbestos studies.

The middle class and their exendable dollars are shrinking.

The dumb sate issues not one, but three liscenses.

The lessons of saturation are being painted vividly in bold colors throughout the region.

Really am surprised that Wynn is going forward.

What do you think, PatsFan? I've noticed that you have a keen mind for money and sports.

It seems stupid to put it in an area that already has somewhat of an economic base and densely populated. I know the surrounding towns aren't thrilled with the way the vote went down because they didn't get a chance to vote even though many of those residents were closer to the casino than Everett residents.

Seems like it would've been better to put it in an area without as much population similar to how CT did it. All in all I do think it is pretty cool that it is Wynn of all casinos and they released the design and it obviously looks state of the art. I'm sure it'll be a boon for that area.

You figure right off the bat they get a ton of that money that goes to CT, people from NH/ME and then a lot of wealthy Asian tourists right off Logan telling their limo take them to the Wynn. Wynn tends to attract that crowd.

I think all in all it will be a net positive but again, not sure why they didn't just put it somewhere with less of a population/base. I think it is one of those things that because of NIMBYs they took what they could get. Unless the traffic just sucks, I'd think it will hurt CT a lot. Can't comment on the horse racing and how it will effect that, don't really know much about horses but it seems like that was dying a slow death regardless.

I love Steve Wynn. He is one of my favorite people in all the world. He thinks like I think. Of course he is a lot smarter and a lot more successful. A lot, lot more. The man "gets it". Maybe he has a vision that can prove me wrong. I would like for him to prove me wrong about the saturation of the gambling dollar in this region. But maybe like you said, PatsFan, his vision is for a clientelle that reaches much further than Metropolitan Boston. That is some complex that he proposes. Spectacular really. If anyone can pull it off, Steve Wynn can.
