just watched it live on CBC, not sure if you guys are getting it live on NBC right now so I won't spoil the ending, but that was one hell of a race.....wow... definitely worth watching when NBC shows it for you guys

One of the best comebacks I've seen in a long time. The anchor to the French team was in utter disbelief! Total shock. My 17 year old daughter was running around the house screaming - woke up the wife - quite funny.

Great race with a great result. I'm a little disappointed with the amount of celebrating Phelps did. He's probably going to win 8 gold medals he needs to be a little more humble. I really thought his speedo's were going to fall off.

Phelps will be more humbled when it comes to his individual events. How can a person not be that pumped up to watch his teammate swim that last leg of the race? It's been said a hundred times on this board already but that was amazing to watch on TV. Imagine being there and directly involved.

This guy has trained his whole life for races such as that. I can't see how someone under such a watch could be more humble. He was the FIRST to go and shake the hands of France--I would have gotten up and jumped in the pool or gone over and tuanted the Frenchies. It is funny how different people view situations so different.
Not to mention it was one of the greatest races in Olympic history

I guess by the sounds of things NBC in the east and CBC in Canada are showing everything live while NBC out west has everything tape delayed. If you live in the western states and can get CBC through satellite or whatever they'll be showing Phelps again tonight, as they've been pumping up his 8 gold medal run here as well.
