if not, what 4 teams do you got?
:howdy:Hello Eric The Midget...
First of all let me preface what I am about to say with this, from time to time I do play a small parlay but it usually involves the same game (side and total) and is usually on a MNF game or a weekday game and ONLY if I think the play has a viable chance at winning, however, I personally NEVER play teasers...
When I was in high school I was a runner for awhile for a fairly large local book and also clerked a little as well, even back then it never ceased to amaze me how some gamblers simply tossed their money to the boss without a fight year in and year out...
....for the most part teasers and parlays are sucker bets, the guy I used to work for only allowed two team and three team parlays and teasers, every week probably half the guys betting with him bet a couple of sides and then parlayed or teased those same teams together.
They got beat week in and week out by one team or another and by that team losing it also blew their parlay and/or teaser plays as well, in the end they should of only lost the juice for losing on the side but instead they would lose big bucks...all because one favorite got upset or one doggie got their doors blown off.
Trust me when I tell you that parlays and teasers are sucker bets, you would be well served to simply bet on the side or total, its hard enough to correctly pick winners as it is on a consistent basis, remember this...
...when you bet a parlay or teaser you need to win ALL side plays or total plays in that parlay or teaser to win in order to collect (barring a tie), meanwhile, all your book has to do is win one of those games and he collects.
The guy I worked for used to really reel 'em in by offering single juice on both two team 6 pt teasers and three team 10 point teasers, the guys betting with him ate it up, they actually thought it was a good deal, however, the truth of the matter is that a teaser is the single worst bet that a gambler can make.
Take care and be well my friend
