i thought/hoped the line would come about UConn -2 or -3 in which case i would have pounded them. but at -5 it takes some thought as far as betting this game - which shows they made a solid line. they had to know the public would be all over UConn at a low price so they inflated it. i will say the VALUE here lies with the vols, since this line really is a point or two, too high, and a few trends and all also go with the vols - but as for how this game will play out - i sense it might be another story.
when i first started betting - one of the most valuable insights i ever got from someone was when he told me to be VERY careful betting dogs around this price because you can be right 90% of the game - but come the last minute-ish when the dog is down 2/3 points, if they miss their shot they then have to foul and this is how a 2/3 point game becomes a 9 point game and you lose your bet.
in closing i will say that when the ratings come out for this one - i fully expect it to be the highest rated women's basketball game in espn history - if not all times. ok - i know that isn't saying much - but these 2 teams have HUGE national followings and it will translate into KILLER ratings!

Be careful, as I know none can make a driving layup for either team, and only make 3's due to having four-score-and-seven years to set feet and launch uncontested..but that fat number in normally close rivalry may be bait?

Winky The state is as excited for tonight as it was last night. Different crowd, but bars will still be packed--some hangovers going on, but they will have HUGE TV ratings in the Northeast. I think Uconn goes out with a bang for Tiarasi. it's amazing most people like watching thr women better than the men. I will get all Uconn tonight and think I'll get crushed--Uconn by 10 or more
