37-16 ATS....69.8%!!!!.....MR JONES BASES THREAD

That is what our very own MR. JONES is churning out in his DAILY bases thread in the bases forum if his 53 monitored ONE unit plays
were equated to a spread record based on a pointspread model like in football and basketball.

He is up a staggering 19.4 UNITS on 53 plays based on only ONE UNIT WAGERED PER PLAY!!

I was messing with my computer which I finally fixed and Fish calls me about this. I thought about and mentioned the old SI jinx and no lie, we only talk for a couple of minutes but at that exact moment Texas scores late in the Seattle game. Then they more or less break it open bringing in my bigger dog of two tonight for another guaranteed + night. So I said "sure, it's all good."

Got to enjoy these things when they come around. There's gonna be some ohfers for sure and some gnashing of teeth. Have played this game and the actual game long enough to not even attempt to deceive myself. I hope to finish on the plus side of the ledger and posting my plays has helped me with my discipline. That was the idea. But we're still in April.

BT- The record of 37-16 equates to what that would represent if laying -110 vs normal pointspread conditions.

He is up 19.6 units on 53 plays going into yesterday............thus one would have to go 37-16 in baskets or foots to realize the same profit.

ps- He was 1-1 yesterday, up a few pennies.

Sounds great, but I would venture to say there were quite a few favorites in this equation and thus some decent chalk had to be laid down to obtain the one unit winning result. I have the same 19 units up result after going 40-33 betting dogs only and keeping the same ONE unit on all wagers as well.

I havent looked at his picks yet,but if I pick 100% dogs and have a 54.8% winning percentage and lay just one unit on all,,and end up 19 units ahead, it would be hard to fathom 90% dogs at a 69.8% win rate only being up 19 units also.

It would be the percentage IF it were related to laying -110, such as in baskets or football.

Going 37-16(53 games)in baskets equates to being up 19.4 units betting ONE unit per game.
