Like I said Im 50/50 on it myself. i see a lot of similarities to the black rights movement in the 60's to this now.

I think the gay people are basically a happy group, but the laws in the States are making them be very sad and very angry. I believe they should be able to do what they do cause they like it and it make them feel very happy at times. As long as they stay cool and don't hurt the other people, let it be. Let them roll the way they roll! This is what I think about this here issue. Power to the gay people!

Personally I thought it was bullshit how the mormons invested so much money into California to over turn this state. Buy hey its a level playing field right? All is fair.
Personally the gays don't bother me. The discrimination I see against them I compare to what the blacks dealt with for all those years. Shit they're just people.
The ones doing all the crying IMO are most likely the ones with the most skeletons in their closet to begin with. Now don't get me wrong, if I were a teacher and a 2nd or 3rd grader were to ask me to explain why some of his or her friends have 2 moms or 2 dads, honestly I wouldn't know how to answer that kid. but I guess its a whole different discussion altogether.
Now as far as gay's having rights, fuck it let em be I say. Why the fuck would the state or a group of people have the right to impose their will and /or morals on others? Its a clear example of the church interfering with government. Nothing more.

Marriage is not an option for gays...If they want to pass some type of legislation calling it something else, so be it. They already have the ability to get domestic partner benefits.
They should not be able to adopt children, nor should they get tax benefits from our government.

it's ironic, how the election of a liberal president cost them their marriage rights. according to the polls, blacks turned out in big numbers in california to vote for obama, and 7 out of 10 african americans voted in favor of the prop to ban it. everyone else was split or slightly in favor of allowing it.

From my standpoint, if people were meant to be with someone of the same sex, sexual reporduction would be a whole different story. This is probably a religious viewpoint on procreation, but that is where I stand. Right wing.

The original intention of marriage was for procreation and genetic security.
Some of the biggest treatys in ancient history were sealed with a genetic union between a man and a woman.
I am not aware of any treaties in history that used a gay marriage to secure the paperwork, although riding a chaps buttocks was a very common sport during both the Greek and Roman Empires.
Some people might enjoy it with the same sex, but that aint marriage, it's sport and recreation.
