REDSKINS 13, JETS 10 (halftime): Earth to Jets: The bye week is over. This was a sloppy half by the Jets, who lacked focus and urgency. Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall lost fumbles and Ryan Fitzpatrick threw an INT, setting up every Washington score. They should be controlling the Skins, who are missing six starters. Might be time for the even-tempered Todd Bowles to show some fire at halftime. His team needs a kick in the rear.
VIKINGS 10, CHIEFS 0 (HALFTIME): The Vikings have just 16 yards from Adrian Peterson in the first half, but they’ve been able to target the Chiefs’ suspect secondary for 171 passing yards from Teddy Bridgewater. And the absence of Jamaal Charles appears to be hurting the Chiefs; they’ve gained just 51 yards in the first half, and held the ball for only 12:04. If the Vikings can wear down the Chiefs’ defense in the second half, Peterson should have a chance to get going.
