It varied from 94 to 96.5. Pinnacle peaked at 96.5 with a higher money line on the under. Hollywood had 96. IIS peaked at 96 before dropping to 95/95.5. Olympic was mostly 95.5. Carib was 94 with the money line on the over rising to -130 before dropping late. Canbet was steady at 96. Intertops was 95. WSEX closed at 95.5.
I could've sworn I saw 96 on VIP, but I figured afterwards that that must have been a mistake, as the game line was only 184.5. Halftime lines are almost always within a half point -- or 1 point at the outside -- of half of the total for the game (i.e., a game with a total of 180 will always have a second half line of 89 - 91 etc.)
That would mean this game (UTH/LAL) should've had a 2nd half line between 92-93 or so. Why was the line as high as 96.5 then? I don't think I"ve ever seen that before...
Utah has been a heavy 1st half under team all season, especially on the road. For much of the season, they were a heavy 2nd half over team, especially on the road. Their 2nd half numbers have levelled off of late, but the numbers you saw posted have been the norm for Utah games the past couple of months.
For tonight, the 1st half total was around 87.5 with the 2nd half total varying as mentioned in my earlier post.
87.5 in the first half and 96 in the second half?! Never ever seen that in over 5 years of NBA betting...thought that was strictly a college phenomenon?

It's mostly a college phenomenon. Utah has been a special case this season. Starting in mid-January, Utah rattled off 16 straight 1st half unders. It was during this streak that oddsmakers started to adjust Utah's numbers. Conversely, Utah's 2nd half totals were going over at a heavy rate early on. Part of this was due to Utah's tendency to use a college-style late game foul parade. As a side note, Utah also covered 17 straight 2nd halves early in the season. They've been an interesting team to watch, overachieving to the max. If it wasn't for Hubie Brown's Grizz success, I think Jerry Sloan would be the frontrunner for coach of the year.
New Jersey games have also seen unbalanced totals for much of the season. For awhile, the same was true for Washington, though to a lesser extent.
For whatever its worth,,,, ths Half time line at 95.5 last night,,, I hit the UNDER<,, and it was the LAKERS that caused it to get close their Defense was damn solid last night,,,
UTAH missed a LOAD of free throws,,,, KOBE was on FIRE,,,
