2ND ANNUAL RX BASH TO BE HELD AGAIN IN VEGAS!!!

Stay tuned for more details, but I am sure that posters will be happy again...

Last year we had over 100 people show up for our inaugural party, and I suspect when I announce more details, we will have even more gamblers and bookmakers return...

At the moment, we are strongly considering having our party the second Saturday of August, namely August 14th, 2004 (less than 4 months away)...

Several casinos/sportsbooks have expressed an interest in hosting it for us and amongst one of them is none other than the Golden Nugget, who has asked that we return...

Also, The Imperial Palace has expressed a real interest in hosting this event as well and possible some others...

I'd love to hear what our posters have to say, especially those who were there last year, and those who think they may attend this year...

Was there last year and it is the nicest hotel in the downtown part...bar none...Rooms were nice (I stayed in the newer tower) and food was good and gambling was a plenty

Sportsbook was not to shabby either GOOD choice if its going to be downtown again...will be a BLAST

first off - for those who weren't at the party and wonder what i look like - i have posted this before - but here is a pic of me and angelle from last year's party (you have no idea how much wider her smile got later that night

as for hotel location:

i liked it being at the GN last year. being away from the zoo of the strip was nice - and having it downtown meant i could walk down the fremont experience.

as for this year - i could go for a return to the GN - no problem. as for the IP - the sportsbook is nice - but now that jay kornegay is leaving - and will be gone by the time we get there - i wonder what the book will be like. location wise it is very centrally located so that is good.

the one thing to consider is last year there was room at the IP book to meet other posters. if we have the party at some place like the stardust - the sports book there is PACKED every weekend - so odds of finding some place to hang out is minimal.

personally - i'd love to have it at the suncoast since my sis lives about 1 mile away - but geographically - that won't work well.

whatever hotel you choose is cool - with one caveat:

they MUST do what the GN did - and allow the option of checking in saturday night for a ONE night stay over - something vegas hotels like doing as much as making original lines and having wise guys bet them. they LOATHE this. the GN allowed this last year and ANY hotel that won't allow this - F**K 'EM! there aren't many - but there will be some who arrive in vegas saturday - then leave sunday - and making us pay for 2 nights when we are only there 1 is something we (i) will NOT do and any place that makes us/me - NOPE!

even though it is a tad off the strip - and a pain in the ass to get to - places like the Rio and Hard "Cock" Hotel are great for the "scenery" and realizing we will be there in august - when it is about 4,000 degrees means the women there will be wearing VERY little - showing off their amazingly tight bodies.

I don't care where the party is, anything is fine.

I did stay at Golden Nugget a couple weeks ago. Its on the upswing there. The new owners want to get back to a classic Vegas feel.

They are now dealing single deck blackjack, have 10X odds on craps and are just about to open a poker room. Also they play a lot of Rat Pack songs in the casino now.

So I would say the GN is better than ever.
