A good friend of mine who books has a guy killing him on 2h totals. The guy is basically looking for games that miss the 1h total by a wide margin, thus getting a pretty good number on the 2h. Has anyone ever followed anything like this?

Yeah, maybe as low as 7. I haven't been following it closely just going by what my buddy told me. Not sure what the 1h total on Michigan St last night but they scored a total of 53, he took 2h under 67.5 and it only got to 59 in the 2h.

Yeah from what he's told me he if the 1h under hits by more than 7 to 15 points he bets the 2h under. This guy won 10 bets last night and 6 were on 2h unders.

This would be an interesting strategy if you have two teams who are very different (e.g., up tempo vs ball control/def oriented), where the total is probably middling the likelihood of which style of game will dominate (whether the ball control team will be able to do that or whether the up tempo team will force the other team to play their game). Ultimately the game would probably go over-over or under-under based on which team has its way.

Just a thought to add to this as a strategy if you were looking at it.

Thanks. Hadn't heard from my buddy tonight but trying to look for a few low scoring 1h's and see what happens in the 2h

1h Duke total was 65, they only scored 55. He played 2h total under 73 for another win!

Arizona/utep fell under this as only 53 points in 1h. He played 2h under 71 for another win.

The books allow an 8-10 point differential between 1H/2H and so playing unders 2H would make sense, gives a small amount of cushion, but of course there is the danger of last minute fouling in close games and, of course, overtime. So there are a couple of variables to consider.

Yes. He's only playing unders on this specific situations and my buddy who books is about to pull his hair out right now because this guy is killing it. The crazy thing is he's betting 12 to 15 games a night at 500 a pop and has only had 2 losing days in about 3 weeks. I told him if he can weather the storm he will eventually get the best of the guy. He's up around 10g right now. I would post his plays but he usually puts them in at the last minute and my buddy usually sends them to me after they've started. If by chance he puts them in early I will try and post. Good luck

Given the tenor of this thread.... Louisville/EKU went way under 1H (by 11 points) and are still getting 70 points in 2H...also Louisville just had top scorer ejected.

Seems like a good spot for a play.
