Its sad that he died but i have no sympathy for drunk drivers. Its better them than others. It could have been lot worse if he had hit someone else, especially a family with kids who never had a chance to live.

Guys google Marco Muzzo.....this guy is a son of canadian Billionaire, a spoiled brat....he drove from the airport after getting hammered in the plane and airport and decided to drive home.....he sped through a rural road and ran a stop sign at high speed (more than double the speed limit) and smashed into a van with grand parents and young kids. grand dad died on the spot. two kids died the next day holding hands in the hospital as parents watched helplessly. only person survived was the grandma. devastating for the parents who were at work when the incident happened. the parents lost all their kids.

So if you drink and decide to drive and if you die, all i can say is good riddance.

Say it ain't so.

Kansas City Royals pitcher Yordano Ventura may have been alive immediately after he crashed his Jeep Sunday in the Dominican Republic.
But, according to some media reports out of the Domnican, heartless thieves stripped Ventura of his valuables, including his World Series ring, and left him to die at the side of the road.
Journalist Euri Cabral reported that Ventura survived the crash but “several people assaulted him instead of helping him,” according to the Spanish-language Ensegundo website.
The details are unconfirmed.
Hall of Famer Pedro Martinez tweeted about it in Spanish, saying “Now it is more painful to know that Yordano remained alive after the accident and instead of someone to help him, they robbed him and let him die. I hope an investigation will be carried out, because if there is any specific evidence of this, I would feel a great deal of shame for my country,” according to a translation by the Kansas City Star.
Ventura’s grandfather, Paul Hernandez, told Pio Deportes that circumstances around the crash that killed Ventura are unclear and asked Dominican authorities to keep digging.
“We are not very clear about that, we would like it to be thoroughly investigated,” he said.
Ventura died Sunday after the Jeep he was driving went off the road in heavy fog and rolled over. The 25-year-old was ejected from the vehicle in the crash.
The righthander went 11-12 with a 4.45 earned-run average in 32 starts for the Royals last season.

why does it have to be clean. regardless shouldn't his wealth be inherited by direct family members?

If 20 million is involved the family can bribe dominican lab rats to fake a clean report.

his contract was guaranteed so the royals would pay the remaining balance, about 20 million, but it becomes void if you die while operating a motor vehicle while impaired

I'm surprised they would have to pay 20 million to a player even though not alive. I guess that is what you call a guaranteed contract. Wonder if he even had life insurance then?
