This game truly is a must-win for Mark Pope's team. Some might say it's too early in the year to call a game a must-win, but this is a must-win. Folks are already laughing at the Wildcats, saying that this 22-million roster isn't that good and that this team doesn't have a real shot to be special.

If the Wildcats can go out on Tuesday night and blow out the Tar Heels, it will be massive for this team's confidence.

The Wildcats have been playing without two starting caliber players: Mo Dioubate and Jaland Lowe. It appears that the trend will continue, as Pope was on the record indicating that he doesn't expect either player to suit up on Tuesday night.


Even if both players don't suit up on Tuesday night, this is still a very good Kentucky team. They have plenty of depth to work with and should still present a strong challenge for the UNC basketball program, as other Wildcats will continue to step up in the absence of both Dioubate and Lowe.

2014 sounds about right maybe but did win in 2012 and another time went undefeated in regular season and choked in tourney. Those were the days my friend….. Probably will get into tourney like Notre Dame and Alabama in Football.

I don’t see them having a problem winning the SEC and getting automatic bid. They’ll be healthier in a few weeks. Everyone else in SEC is losing with them example…
