The Giants are in the best shape of any team in this division to join Dallas in the playoffs, based on their upcoming schedule. They are fifth in the playoff standings, which doesn’t really matter given the time remaining. It helps that New York is 3-1 at home after posting losing seasons in the Meadowlands each of the past three years.

Remaining schedule: Their remaining opponents have a combined 29-35-2 record. The Giants have a chance to grab real momentum over the next three weeks with this schedule: Cincinnati, Chicago, at Cleveland. It gets tougher over the final five games. They play at Pittsburgh and then, after home games against Dallas and Detroit, the Giants close the season with road games against Philadelphia and Washington.
