I'm just following ' 1968' criteria he posted .....
{2012} 1968's MLB Chase Thread

Now that one series is in the books, we can get this chase going! It did well last year, so lets get it going this year. I would appreciate anyone who would double check my posted plays daily, or post daily the plays if I haven't yet. I work 18 hour shifts each day in the oilfield so at times I have limited access to a computer. Here are the parameters:

a. must have won 2 of last 3 games
b. must be a home team in the series
c. game one line must be -140 or higher

We play this home team to win 1 unit (1 game) in the series.

I believe Those are the parameters for a chase series to qualify. So once a series qualifies, the next game lines do not matter. If u followed those parameters throughout the chase, there wouldn't be a game 3 of the chase because the team would have lost 2 of their previous 3 games

i also had a quick question. if a team qualifies in every category except for having a higher spread of -140 or more on game 1, but game 2 does have that -140 or higher, do you play it?

or does it HAVE to be game 1? thanks

sorry for the questions, just want to learn.

That's ok, I am still learning as well. No games today because all our series won already. I believe GAME 1 is the deciding factor of what qualifies a series and the series MUST be a 3 or 4 game series. So game 1 has to be -140 or higher
