One of the very best in history

DRIVER
JENNINGS
NELSON
FINLEY
COBB
CRABTREE
JONES

All aided of course by a pretty darn good thrower.

Watching that game last night I found myself thinking that this team if healthy will become a dynasty..they were scary...when they go 5 Wide who can even think about stopping them??

Very, very good offensively..................better than last season with a healthy Finley and the addition of rookie phenom Cobb................not to mention Ryan Grant back at RB.

However, don't think this team is quite as strong on the defensive side of the ball as last season with the departure of JENKINS(even though he missed many games last season, but not in playoffs) and the concern with an aging Charles Woodson. Do think a couple of the younger 2nd stringers will be better though, but overall I see a small dropoff in this unit over last season.

Think you will see Grants carries decrease and Starks will start having a bigger role as rb . He got more carries last night and almost all of the 2nd half .

They are very equal in my opinion.

I think much of the praise should go to Rodgers. At least half of those names wouldn't be getting balls on other teams. Same thing with Peyton Manning and all the productive WRs he's produced over the years.

Without question........................however, the Packers have recievers that do great things AFTER catching the ball...........JENNINGS and DRIVER in particular..............and it appears COBB will join that duo.

Think the PACKERS rank very high in YDS after the catch....and all are very, very sure handed with the exception of JONES.

Matthews on Def is a beast....With his playmaking ability he creates shorter fields for his offense to work with....as if they need it. I agree with Fishhead though about the drop off from last year albeit slight...

Yeah but what's wrong with their defense? Nick Collins big loss? Not easy to win NFL on offense alone.

D2/DANTE

Mentioned the loss of Jenkins hurts the DL and with Woodson a year older, that's not a positive......................however, this is still a top ten defensive unit in the NFL and is more than capable of winning another Superbowl.

Keep in mind, the Saints are tremendous offensive football club, they will score alot of pts on many above average defenses, especially in close to ideal weather.

D2, what are you talking about with the Nick Collins loss, sure hope not.................you thinking of Williams?

You throw Jennings, Driver, Cobb, Finley, and Nelson out there and two of the five are going to have mismatches on them........................

Teams are going to have to shy away from man-to-man coverage on this team.

One big key for their continued success is something most will not consider...................and that's the health/injury status of LT CHAD CLIFTON throughout the season, the oldest LT in the league if not mistaken, or close to it.

Geesh, the youngest starter to ever win a SB, RT BRYON BULAGA out of Iowa goes down with an injury early at CHI and is ??? for next weeks game..................BULAGA has been tremendous in his first two seasons with the Packers and has been an instrumental clog in the Packers offense.

Speaking of the recievers again, how about that day for FINLEY yesterday in CHI.................3 TD's!

Told my buds to hit the Finley props yesterday. No linebacker can cover him. Thank God Peprah had some time on the field last year because he is not a good cover guy. I would be throwing his way all the time.
Grant was hitting the hole with purpose while Starks looked confused and hesitant on most of his runs. McCarthy will address that this week for sure. Newhouse filled in admirably and was good to find that Bulaga is just a bruised knee.
I cringe when Cobb returns punts because this kid is fearless as he hits the wedge at full tilt and should break a few more this year.
Arod has great grasp of the offense combined with an outstanding accurate arm and the ability to scramble and throw on the run. I expect good things from them this year.

The front office in the Packer organization is doing one helluva job..............the draft picks they are producing with excellence is incredible.
