So with the cancellation of the Arena football season this year, it really felt empty the last few months with no football to cap or wager on. The CFL season starts and there is only one play I really like after doing research leading into the start of the season tomorrow.

Montreal and Calgary have very little changes on offense and this was the #1 and #2 offenses in the league last year. Calgary released Armour and he is an impact player who they will miss tremendously on defense. One thing that I do expect is both offenses to be ready to fire away on all cylinders when they open the season tomorrow.

1st leg

Montreal/Calgary Over 45.5

Edmonton has made improvements on all sides of the ball and especially on defense. They also have the defensive minded Hall who ran Sask's #1 rated defense last year as their new head coach. Winnipeg is in my opinion is in a mess. They are starting Lefors at QB who had a whopping 3 weeks to learn the offense and get his timing down with his wideouts. One thing they established is Giles at running back who tore up preseason. Preseason really doesn't mean much and I think this team is going to take weeks before winning a game. Ricky Ray is the best QB in the league or a very close #2 behind Burris.

2nd leg

Edmonton -2.5

Official Play:

7 point teaser (-120 @ Pinnacle)

Edmonton -2.5 & Mont/Cal Over 45.5 (20 units)

I also forgot to mention the last time Montreal played in Calgary, they scored a total of 71 points. Good luck to everyone this season. My this be a prosperous season for all.

If I had to make a wager straight up, I would take Calgary/Montreal over 52 straight up. It was suppose to rain so a lot of money went in on the under and now it is going to be perfect weather. I think both offenses are ready to fire away.

Thanks Powerz, good luck this season. :toast:

thank you king

No problem Candy. Also as an FYI, Montreal's defense gave up the most passing yards last year and they are going to try to man up tonight against that potent Calgary attack. If they man up all night, Calgary will score 35-38 points by themselves. Good luck whatever you decide.

1sob, thanks and good luck to you tonight and this season.

Spart, really good to hear from you. Hope you and the wife are doing well.

Montreal's QB AC threw for 309, 341 and 358 yards against Calgary's defense in their three games last year. The limit is very small but I will take the wager at the Greek.

Official Play:

Montreal total passing yards over 305.5 -115 (2 units)

sorry didn't mean actual dollar amounts, but is 20 units an avg size play, large play, etc?

Ahhhh, my normal minimum play is 5 units. In the case where I bet the total throwing yards, Greek max limit is $200 with no rebet so I had to bet 2 units. 20 units is 2 dimes which is a decent sized bet for me. My larger bets in CFL are generally 5 dimes but I would have to know some good info or really love the wager to drop 50 units on it. Typically, my normal wager in CFL is for a dime so this is twice my normal sized wager. Good luck to you. :toast:

Candy, Greek is the best book for openers as they normally open first. I have 8 books I use but if you are looking for one, I would suggest thegreek. Good luck to you.
