Thanks to the wizardry of TaxMaster WILLIE99, our 2008 return will deliver a rather decent refund.

He helped educate me on the many deductions legally available to me for operating my online contract work (for DrugSense) out of my home.

Though I stopped working with them Jan 1, 2009, we've started up another internet based business and will thus enjoy continued legal deductions for many of our household (rent/utilities/improvements etc) expenses that in previous years were nothing but liabilities on the financial statement.

Reminds me...I need to pay HuskyFan for his work

I may have taken several weeks to get TRecall his $25, but I need to keep my financial experts smilin'

I just hit "Transmit" on TurboTax.

Now President Obama and Congress can go out and spend more of my money on a military campaign in Iraq that I don't support.

I owe $32,000. I prefer to keep it as long as I can to invest it.

I thought my tax bill was bad, but not that bad.

I can tell you this, it is not because of my gambling winnings because there are none of those.

You have 3 more days to make that back in the market.

$32,000 is what I owe for all of last year. It's not what I need to make back in the market. Anything I make from being able to trade using this money is the profit I make.

being a self-employed CPA, I never ever get a tax refund. Huskygal still doesn't understand why so many other people get thousands and thousands back, I stopped trying.

Unfortunately for me, the Government takes a bunch of my money each year. I am not particularly pleased about it either. I have no chose. I make it, they take it, a lot of it.

Democrats take even more money cause they needs to give it to the people who voted for them as political handouts. They refer it as social service programs. I refer it as fuck me once again. This makes me angry cause the social services program give free stuff to free loaders and lazy people who fester on it for the most part. I have financial smart people who advise me. but it is futile, they just do me still.

Ya just gotta suck it up. Vote republican, less government, less taxes, less spending and less corruption. I make, it I should keep it and give some to causes of my chose, which I do cause, this be how I roll!

... less the underpayment penalties and interest for not paying estimates throughout the year on that $32K liability?

Is your income that variable, or do you just enjoy giving the gov't interest-free loans? =p

You could get even more if you would get your tax guy to write off all that pepper spray stacked inside the garage

Not to mention the cost of electricity to recharge that taser every night

No, my income is pretty much the same year round. I am married with 4 kids but I claim single and zero. I work a side job that can fluctuate in pay that I use a schedule C on as a sole proprietor.

I know that it's my money that I get back but I like the lump sum rather than have it spread out over 26 pay periods. I have a lot of deductions as well so that helps.

All that pepper spray is tax deductible...Of course, the taser is used now moreso than the spray...:toast:

Sch C + deductions + large refunds = audit central.. hope you'll never have to face one.

Would strongly recommend increasing W/H to 4 on the W-2 side and roll most of the increased cash flow into the kid's college fund (via dollar-cost averaging if you'd like). Running a simple tax projection would be very useful as well.

My deductions aren't from the schedule C. I'm talking about the 4 kids, mortgage interest, real estate taxes, school loan interest, etc. The only thing I write off using my schedule C is my mileage. Plus, here in Texas, I don't pay state taxes and I don't pay social security taxes on my full time job.
