Looks very solid Woff...I've always liked Butch Davis at North Carolina..Very solid coach..I expect a big improvement out of that team. Arkansas looks like it will be a good play..If anybody but Petrino was there i probably wouldn't even give them more than 3 wins on the year. Kansas is a little iffy..I think they're going to win 6 to 8 games..But my lean would be around 7. I think if Kansas loses to USF early in the season then your bet is as good as won..If they win, they might be on their way to another decent season...Georgia under is a good play..The bottom line there is SEC teams with brutal conference schedules don't get the job done..Hell, LSU had a fairly easy SEC schedule last season and still lost 2 conference games. ASU under 8.5 is probably the best bet on the board...Good luck:toast:

First plays of the season all played at bookmaker lines will be moving since these are openers.

5* Temple -2 Should be laying more than a td imo.
5* Stanford +5 wrong team is favored imo.
5* Florida -28
3* Buffalo -2.5
3* NC St +14 bought half
3* So Cal -19.5

1.5 * each on several sunbelt dogs would be higher but limits are low for these games. fwiw, each would be 5* if limit was available.

UL Monroe +28.5
UL Lafayette +14 bought half
Fla Intl +41
North Texas +26.5

Movin Man

We need to refer to Woofy as The Movin Man. The man puts his plays in and the line moves. Good luck, Woofster. :toast: LT

sdf it didnt take alot of action to move these early #s. however, a great opportunity for those liking the opposite sides.

erv, majority of my plays this year will be 2-5 units with a few 10* locks. fwiw, temple is 10 units...5 at -2 and 5 at -3.

Last season, I again started hot and after one huge week, I got out of control with large unit locks and turned what should have been a great betting year into a cloud of dust.

Im tough to follow for I play too many games for most people, betting early, middle plays with big line moves in my favor, and play alot of 2h.

If you are looking for a capper to fade or follow with only a handful of games each week, this thread isnt where you should be looking.

Coach LT, you are my hero...nothing else needs to be added.

Woofy, you make me laugh and you make me cry. I cringe and cry when you use the LOCK word. Patience Woof Grasshopper. There is plenty of time to Krack the Man's Nutts. Love ya, LT:103631605:toast:

trent & sdf, that was also the line I had for ole miss which was the reason I played memphis when I saw + dd at opener. I hope it falls below a td, but I dont expect it to, since ole miss is expected to get off the floor this season and play a little bit.

btw, 8ate, where the heck have you been hiding the past year? Good to see you made it back. Ol' Bancroft High has their hands full among an improved conf this season. I'll tell the boys in Maumee you are still alive and kickin'.

I dont usually write up picks, but Ill write this one up since coach and I talked about this game the other day.

add:

4* AKRON +28 bought half

I sniffed Akron when I saw the opener but since it was very close to the line I had, I didnt play it at +28. Yesterday I noticed it was 27.5 and after further reading I decided to play akron +28. I did buy the half pt, but ONLY because the original line was no longer available. I normally would not buy a half pt in this situation.

Historically, Wisconsin just doesnt blow out many teams. Wisc has key defensive players still hampered by lingering injuries. Very deep along offensive line and of course a stable or rb.

However, Akron is used to playing the big timers. Akron has played vs. respectfully vs the big ten the past several years. They also went into nc st and won outright in 2006. Last season they went into Columbus and battled Ohio State to a 20-2 final...I believe that game was 3-2 at halftime. Akron has a couple new rbs that have transferred from Miami and Ohio St, decent DL (one trans from virg and a a 300 lb dt trans from Iowa), respectable OL, playmakers on special teams (nations leading returning kr & pr) and a decent coach.

Wisc avg 29.5 ppg last season and are laying 4td to an akron team that has some weapons to put a few scores on the board and stay within this large doggie line.

They are really moving #. Trent and sooners you guys were correct about Michigan/Utah game the line was 5.5 and its now at 4. I was hoping for an opener above a td so I could back Utah, but now Im looking at possibly backing Michigan if line falls below a fg.

that oh st game definitely was 3-2 at half... i know because i had under 54..!!:103631605

originally i felt that if mich line drops below a fg i would take them but i'm still not sure i could take losing a play on a team with new coach/coordinator/qb/rb/4 oline in the first game they've ever played together as a fav... but i wouldn't be surprised at all if they covered

i learned a few yrs ago taking BG + 3 @ wisky opening day that you shouldn't underestimate a power conference team vs a non-bcs team... i was right in my analysis that BG would score (they put up 42) but wisky was too strong for them and scored 56!! i could see mich/utah played out differently but a similar outcome

Dont like the Under on ASU. 4 yr starter Carpenter at qb and herring rb back. Soft non conf, they beat Ga at home which they should they go 4-0 into PAC 10.
