Gentlemen,
Those who followed my college baseball plays last year should have at least increased your accounts by 50%. I released about 10 "Locks of the Millenium" (I know, I know) and they went 9-1 I believe. I also released a ton of regular plays, and they did very well over 70% also in Omaha.
TheGreek has regional series prices available, and the amount of betting options, etc will only get better as time goes by. I am in the process of a move, so I dont always have internet access, but just at first glance it looks like we have some great lines again this year. College baseball is not like the bigs. In the bigs, when the Yankees play the Royals, the Royals can win. In college, it's as close to a lock as you will get, and it sure as hell isnt like March Madness.
The same teams seem to win year in and year out. Certain programs have other programs numbers, and you just can't explain it. Some powerhouse programs with long, storied traditions have great + money.
Here are a couple to look at (no official plays yet):
Mississippi State +1500 - Home of Will Clark, Rafael Palmeiro, etc. Typical SEC Powerhouse. Started the year very strong, faded terribly towards the end. But they are always a team that can make noise in the post-season, and getting them at +1500 is very nice. Usually when you are left out of the SEC tourney (they take 8 seeds), you are screwed. But #9 seed MSU got a regional bid over perennial powerhouse LSU, in part because the chairman has MSU blood in him. MSU has new life, and these boys should be pumped to play considering they thought they were out.
Texas -300 (This team returns 90% of their National Championship squad. Pre-season #1. Long storied tradition, and clutch players that step it up come post-season.)
Athens Regional
Florida State +200
Georgia isnt that solid this year, they are a bit overrated. FSU was top 5 all year, lost a few key series, and now you get them at a nice +200 price. Lead by a pure hitting batting champion Shane Robinson, this kid is dangerous in the lineup with his OBP and speed, FSU should always have a man on base. Georgia's stadium isnt very big and intimadating like other home fields, and this shouldnt be a tough one for FSU to overcome.
Vanderbilt +500
Pitching pitching, picthing. Vanderbilt has 2 studs. 1 lefty David Price, Team USA invitee. Has the ability to shut down anyone. Georgia Tech is over priced even though they are solid, just because Vandy has 2 studs that can shut them down.
North Carolina -250
North Carolina has the future #1 overall pick in the entire draft. Andrew Miller. Tall lefty that throws mid 90's. Gives NC a near-automatic win. He should be saved. The competition is weak with Winthrop and co. -250 is not much juice here.
South Carolina +150
Wow, The clutch post-season Gamecocks at + money in a weak regional. This is another strong SEC team that started the season red hot, crushing teams, and faded a bit towards the end. This team brings it in the post-season and is clucth in tourney situations year in and year out.
Alabama -350
No one can challenge Bama here. -350 ain't too bad to lay against these 2nd rate schools. Bama one of the best home field advanatages in college baseball.
Those are the ones I'm looking at. I'll be back with unit amounts and plays, later.
