King, just want to confirm that if you don't put in your picks on time then the computer will select a random team from the ones that you are still eligible to pick ?

So in this case you could get the Raiders or the Texans or one of those shitty teams ?

Are you really concerned about not putting a pick in? I think its very generous of the site to give you a pick at all. If I were running it, I would eliminate any team who forgot.

Canabiz - Yes, if you don't submit a team by the deadline, you will recieve a randomly generated computer pick on your list of available teams. 2 years ago it was defaulted to the team on your available list that was the biggest favorite pt spread. But we got a lot of complaints that people shouldn't be rewarded for not submitting a pick, so we changed it last year and kept it the same this year. So it will be random, but shouldn't be an issue for most, as it only takes 30 seconds per week.

Just a reminder to everyone. If you refer 5 paid entrants into either of the pools you get a free entry into the $20 pool, unless you refer 5 paid entrants into the $100 pool, you'll get a free entry in the $100 pool. Have the referees email us at referrals@survivorking.com with your name or email address.

NFL is almost here!!!

King,
I just read your posting deadline. It says if the first game of the week is Thursday, all picks must be received by 11:59 PM EST on Wednesday. So, since there is a game this Thursday, are you saying we need to post our picks by this time on Wed even if we are not choosing either Indy or NO? If so, can you activate my 3 entries so I can make my pick? As I said, I sent in my payment to you today. But you won't receive the CC until probably Friday. I didnt think this would be an issue because I wasnt going to pick this game. Let me know or give me an email address that I can speak with you directly at.

Thanks,
Rounders

News:

Everybody - Due to mass emails and Rounders concern a couple of posts ago the deadline for this week will be moved back to Saturday at 11:59 pm. If you are going to pick either the Colts/Saints (thurs game) your pick must be submitted tonight by 11:59 pm like a normal pick. However, if you're not selecting either of the teams tommorrow you'll have until Sat 11:59 pm to make your selection. Many people mailed payment that we haven't recieved yet and we don't want to activate any accounts until payment is recieved.

So the sign up deadline is also moved back until Saturday. If you sign up in between now and Saturday, please pay via paypal/cc unless you're sure your payment will be in our PO Box by Saturday delivery time.

We will still post tommorrow how many people choose both the Colts/Saints.

This will be the only deadline exception of the season.

Remember free referral entries are still available. Refer 5 entrants and get a free entry.

Franklin Pool (2 entries):

CalvinTy1; CalvinTy2

Jackson Pool (8 entries):

CalvinTyJ1; CalvinTyJ2; CalvinTyJ3; CalvinTyJ4; CalvinTyJ5; CalvinTyJ6; CalvinTyJ7; CalvinTyJ8

It is real nice to have discounted prices for multiple entries, SurvivorKing. I am wondering if we will still have a RX cash prize for the Franklin pool since I only see very few entries for the $100 pool?

First time to play on this website with potential of having multiple entries, should be very interesting how we all use them. GL to everyone!

It would be nice, with anticipated 2,000 entrants in each pool --and more by next year--, if for next year, there would be still one grand prize winner for lasting the longest after all 17 weeks but also setting aside a consolation prize pool for the 2nd best contestants (multiple ones, I'm sure, which naturally means the consolation prize being divvied up)?

Calvin Ty: The deadline isn't until Saturday for entrants so hopefully more people on the forum will sign up for the Franklin Pool. If not, maybe we'll leave it up to those of you who are in the Franklin Pool to decide what would be best/most fair.

Good suggestions as well. We'll definately have a lot to think about for next year.

We like feedback, so if anyone else has thoughts/ideas, keep it coming.
