What no one mentions, because of the makeup of the jury (black women), & the location of the trial, it made NO difference at all re., DNA, Furman, Witnesses, etc they were never going to convict, The elephant in the room, black women resent the hell out of hot blondes being lusted after by black guys. Things changed after police uncovered the Nicole’s body in her home in Brentwood, California. The detective who worked on the case, Tom Lange, described Nicole’s body as nearly decapitated, obviously a product of rage killing. Ronald Goldman, an innocent waiter who walked in a crime scene, also perished after being stabbed several times.
Amidst the load of evidences collected by the police and assembled by the prosecution, several were intentionally withheld from the jury, forcing them to make a decision on points that were shot down by O.J’s all-star defense team and major errors committed by the prosecution.
Brian “Kato” Kaelin. Kato was a guest in O.J.’s estate; on the day that the police interrogated him, he claimed being with O.J on the night of the murder: hours before O.J. was bound for Chicago and some time before O.J. rode in his limousine late at night. In his interview with Dateline, Kato implied that O.J. tried to get him to agree as his alibi and change the time frame.
O.J’s Violent Tendencies. The public never knew how Nicole became O.J. punching bag each time they had an argument way back when they were still married. A lot of their arguments stemmed from O.J.’s womanizing. Nicole also kept this part of her marriage and confided only to her diary. Her sister, Denise, was the first to learn about her physical abuse after Nicole finally requested her to take photos of her scratched face and bruised body.
Evidence of 911 calls made by Nicole painted O.J. as a constant stalker after their divorce. He was reported to have broken in and eventually pouring his rage towards Nicole. In an interview with Kris Jenner, Nicole’s best friend and matriarch of the Kardashian empire, it was about 8 weeks prior to her brutal death that Nicole confided on how O.J. would eventually kill her and how he would never be punished for such.
Kris also revealed how the couple tried to get back several times; the last effort in Mexico had Nicole ditching O.J. The famous footballer took the news by constantly threatening Nicole. Kris never had the chance to take the stand to testify on this violent side of O.J.
Prosecutor Drops Jill Shively. On the night and approximately the time of the murders, a woman saw O.J. in his white Ford Bronco in Bundy Street where Nicole’s house is located. Jill Shively could have made the prosecution’s case stronger, especially since she recognized O.J. and even had O.J’s SUV’s plate number committed to her memory. Unfortunately, Jill sold her story to the TV show Hard Copy before she got to testify in court. Prosecutor Marcia Clark was so incensed that she refused Jill to take the stand. According to Det. Lange, this was a missed opportunity. Meanwhile, Clark didn’t see that way as she built the case around the DNA evidences gathered from the crime scene, including the blood drops, bloody socks obtained in O.J.’s estate and glove that matched what was retrieved in Nicole’s house. Note that all samples matched O.J.’s DNA.

After the murders, O.J. proceeded to the airport where Skip Junis saw him pulling out items from a cheap gym bag and throwing them in the trash can just outside the airport structure. The police heard of Skip’s account days after the incident and didn’t have the power to retrieve anything from the garbage. Skip never had the chance to tell his story to the public until his interview with Dateline.
Redecorating O.J.’s Estate Prior To Jury Inspection. Defense lawyer Carl Douglas never hid the fact that he had O.J’s estate re-decorated before the jury inspected it. Part of the job included swapping photos and artwork to give the impression that O.J. empathized with the African-American community. Douglas claimed this was in no way tampering with evidence.
Mark Fuhrman Pleads 5[SUP]th[/SUP] Amendment. Fuhrman was part of the investigating team who claimed to have retrieved a bloody glove in O.J.’s estate which matched what he found in the crime scene. Unfortunately, taped conversations between Fuhrman and writer Laura McKinny was used as proof against the police detective’s tendencies to discriminate by race. Worse, he was accused for planting evidence; when asked, he pleaded the 5[SUP]th[/SUP] amendment. This testimony was kept from the jury. Nevertheless, the prosecution used the glove in question during the trial but committed a blunder when they asked O.J. to fit in the gloves. They never did.
A Bored Jury. Dateline was granted an interview with Juror # 6, one of the 8 African-Americans in the 12-member jury. The juror admitted that being sequestered for 8 months made their life boring, especially since they spent their off-court hours lingering in a hotel that was remiss of TV or phone privileges. He also confirmed failing to see O.J.’s first and only taped interrogation with the police after the murders, his apparent suicide note before his infamous police chase and a video of such chase.
Juror # 6 also revealed that the first vote during jury deliberation (10-2 for acquittal) made him happy as he was close to getting out of the place. The 10 jurors who voted for acquittal also refrained from attempting to convince the remaining 2 to change their vote. DNA evidence was not discussed as well. Nevertheless, they all came up with a unanimous vote in less than 4 hours. Juror #6 also felt that there was not enough evidence to convict O.J., proof that the defense team prevailed in making a case out of police inefficiency.
O.J. Post Murder Trial. O.J. may have avoided jail time for this trial but the absence of media coverage during his civil lawsuit (filed by Goldman’s family) may have encouraged him to take the stand. DNA evidences were presented and this time, the jury found him guilty. Although the Goldman family never received the full amount of multi-million in damages, the patriarch is happy that O.J.’s guilt was still proven. While O.J. still walked out a free man, he was eventually arrested and tried in another case that transpired in Las Vegas. He is currently serving 33 years in prison and is up for parole in 2017.

yes i watch the show on dateline last night and i think too on the fast 4 hrs no guilty, most of the 12 people on the jury was happy to be going home.after 8 months in a hotel with no media outlet they wanted out of there........but the dna imo kill this from being a guilty thing and i think too some thought mark f planted some evidence
In a roundabout way O.J. probably has to thank the 1994 Northridge Earthquake for his not guilty verdict. If the trial had been moved to Santa Monica like they wanted, I think they would have had much more trouble finding a jury of OJ sympathizers. But because of the damage to the Santa Monica courthouse they had to keep in in LA County, which has a much bigger African-American and Latino population. Other than that, Marcia Clark completly fucked up the case by being overconfident and thinking the DNA by itself was going to convict him. I bet she hates it everytime they have an anniversary of their deaths and she has to relive it. It's no coincidence that she never presided over another trial again after that. She couldn't hang with the big boys...
Mostly true. But, it was Garcetti who made the decision to move. The damage to the courthouse was a convenient excuse IMO. He was so confident of a guilty verdict and he didn't want another Rodney King riot for LA. And it was Darden who made the biggest mistake w/the glove. He got out too. What a fucking mess.
So many things had to fall just right for OJ to have been found innocent in that trial. I also think there was a cover up going on with OJ's close friend and lawyer Robert Kardashian. I think he hid that bag of damning evidence, I don't care how much his ex-wife swears he didn't. The look on Kardashian's face after they read the verdict told me all I needed to know about what he was thinking. He had a stunned look on his face like "what the fuck did I do?" I think he actually thought for sure OJ would be found guilty and the cover up wouldn't have mattered.
