Been hitting the dog plays the last few times I've put em out. Let's keep going up.
All plays at Bookmaker.
2* Seattle/Texas Game 1 OVER 11 -120
I put this in as a play in the 'know your mlb team' thread, as it's a pretty obvious play. Having seen him pitching in Safeco, and watching him give up 9 runs in 1 2/3 innings, Ryan Feierband has no business being in the majors. The guy is 21 and a lefty so I can see where M's management would be somewhat high on him. He just isn't ready for the majors yet as he fundamentally misses spots on a routine basis, and sometimes throws the same average fastball pitch after pitch after pitch. Rheinecker for Texas has one start, in which he gave up 4 runs over 3 innings to the Tigers. The M's hit lefties well, as it really is a lineup setup to smack lefties around. No reason this game shouldn't go flying over even a big number like 11. I got this bet in last night, but 11.5 is good too.
2* Philadelphia -1.5 +125
Kyle Kendrick has proven himself worthy to be a legit MLB starting pitcher. I have no doubt he can hold Washington to the solid 3 runs over 6-7 innings. Bergmann has the potential to pitch a gem or two, but has a tough task today in Philly facing a hot Phillies lineup. I like the Phillies to get to him early and often and hold off the pesky Nats. 7-3 final.
2* Atlanta/San Fransisco OVER 8.5
The starters suggest that this is an under play, with Hudson starting to pick it up again and Morris being a solid home guy. But these teams tend to play over, as the over is 8-2 the last 10 meetings. I normally don't bank a lot on trends, but with a 4-2 final last night I'll take my odds on this game finding its way over the total.
Might have something to add later depending upon how much tilt I'm on.
Good luck to all.
