Lannan is 8-10 3.59 ERA and tonight will be going for his sixth consecutive win over Atlanta. He is 3-0 3.09 ERA in four starts this season vs Braves. Lowe is 8-12 4.63 ERA but is 2-2 3.38 ERA Last Four. Lowe is hot and cold vs Nationals as winning three games where he did not allow a run and more recently 0-4 7.81 in last five in this mathcup. Washington tagged him for a season high 8 runs on August 2 of this year. Zimmerman has a .375 average vs. Lowe and last nights HR might have been the spark for one of the up till then struggling Nationals bats. Morse and Espinosa both hitting well in the series also. Washington has become THE biggest thorn in Atlanta's side in the past few years. Now matter what the pitching matchups are, the Nationals always seem to give Atlanta trouble and wind up winning their portion of the games. The issue here is Lannan's proven track record vs Braves against Lowe's hot or cold pitching and it's all cold as of late vs. Nationals.

its going to be tough for the Nationals to come back in this one, probably going up against Venters and Kimbrel..as I type this Brewers just tied it up and Braun ran out of gas otherwise he had an inside the park homer...got out at the end because he fell over got back up and fell again, lol good effort brauny!
