Monday's December 23rd Picks

San Jose at Boston
The Bruins have been struggling as of late as they are now winless in their last 6 games (0-5-1). While on the other hand the Sharks play their 5th straight road game and are currently 1-2-1 on their 5 game road stint. Both teams would love to win here, especially the Bruins who have stumbled behind Ottawa in the East, and want to end their winless drought. Evgeni Nabokov should be facing Shields or Grahame (undecided till game time - since both goalies have been swapping starts between the pipes). Boston is 11-3-4 all time vs. San Jose. And have a steller home record at 11-4-2 playing in the FleetCenter this season. On the contrary the Sharks have an average road record at 8-7-2-3. Boston is a very good team - and good teams find ways to win when they need it most! Bruins at home on the canadian line being favored at -105 seems like too much value to pass up. Sharks are playing their 5th game in 8 nights on the road - a very tired squad versus a very hungry Bruins team in search for a win. Hence, gotta go with Thorton and Bean Town - Take Boston Bruins -0.5 (-105)

Montreal at New York Islanders
Montreal are 5-1-1 in their last 7 meetings versus the Islanders. And have beaten the Islanders earlier this season with a 3-0 shutout performance by the Montreal netminder. Jose Thodre has been playing into to form lately after struggling earlier this season - posting a 9-7-2-1 record. Osgood should get the start tonight (although won't be surprised if Depietro starts, however, he did lose in his last outing). The Habs have a very good road record at 8-5-1-1 while the Islanders are dismal at home posting a 6-10-2-0 record. And to make matters worst the Islander have only 1 win in their last 6 games (1-3-2). The red hot Montreal Canadiens have 4 wins in their last 5 games and have outscored their opponents 9-3 in their last 2 outings. Surprisingly the oddsmakers are making the Islanders as favorites today, hence, the better team overall and the better team as of late are nice dogs.
Consequently, the better team is Montreal Canadiens ML +105

Good Luck to All

and have a Merry Christmas!

How did I copy you?

Why would I copy some guy who claims he is the peoples' champ? I like how you use the Rocks' moto as yours. I guess you can't even come up with your own eh? And you have told me in various emails you know ABSOLUTELY nothing in hockey - why then would I copy you SSI?

Get your facts straight buddy!

ivan, it was $80 then,, its only $100 per game now but in the real world that is no small amount.. the day in and day out grind is tough,, hang in there ivan,, ill keep posting here, my plays and we will see how it goes.. you can have all the knowledge in the world about hockey, but if you do not know how to bet (manage money) then it wont help you.. its irrelevant if i know anything about hockey, what i do know is money management and gathering information..
