am I on crack?

I thought I heard once that in a 2 game 7 point teaser some shops would grade a TIE & a loss as a PUSH or a WIN...

was that in my dreams?

I am aware that a Tie & a win = a win at many shops but I wasnt sure about a Tie & a loss...

In Vegas books would grade that a push.Some books offshore would grade the same and some grade it a loss.Always check the teaser rules where you are before you play them.

i always though that a loss in any teaser or parlay made the entire bet a loss.

Savant, I'm with you, I think I have seen this also. The reason I remember is because it just didn't make any sense to me. I believe I asked a clerk about it once and he explained to me that the combination of the tie with the loss is actually more difficult to hit.....

I remember hearing a story about some people going through the casino picking up all the discarded bet slips on the floor cauz the general public would simply throw away the slip thinking it lost however it was worth a push or something like that...

A LOSS and a TIE on a teaser is graded as a PUSH.

SS- You are correct about the lost tickets on the casino floor.

The Vegas books add a few notches to their hold percentage as a result of the many patrons who throw these tickets away.

EVERY casino treats their teasers in a different fashion............ask each book that you play with.

If a 2 team teaser has a tie and a loser, the teaser loses. You may have your account set up for "Vegas" teaser rules (a tie and a loser = a TIE). By choosing this option, the account will not be eligible for bonuses of any kind. Only teasers played AFTER choosing this option will apply for the "Vegas" rules. Not all accounts will be eligible for this rule change.

But I know there are, or was a couple books at least that offer this and you dont have to "give up" anthing........Not that 5dimes match~play "bonuses" would be much of a loss anyhow!

The following rules apply to standard teasers:

A tie in a standard teaser of three or more teams reduces the teaser to the next lowest number; for example, a four teamer with a tie becomes a three teamer.

Except for Arena Football, a tie in a two-team teaser, regardless of whether the other team wins or loses, is graded "No Action", and all monies are refunded.

Any teaser with an open spot and a loser is graded immediately as a loser; open teasers with a loss cannot be filled in.
