Stockstill is a mobile QB who can throw and run the ball and he will be dearly missed. Now the only good offensive player in the team is Mathers but with the very poor 19 year back up QB calling the shots their offense can be easily stopped. The QB loss will also affect Middle tenn States defense because they will be on the field lot more than usual and expect them to get tired out. Marshall is a team that is on a big downswing but this is a perfect situation for them to have a good showing. +8.5 on Marshal has big value and there is some good value on them to win straight up as well.
Second we have Georgia Tech team who relies heavily on running with a very mobile QB. Virginia Tech's weakness in defense is mobile QBs. IN the two losses to Syracause and Tennessee V Tech gave up over 100 yards rushing to the opponent QBs. In the other games V tech won but did not cover the spread, the opponent QB had some success on the ground. V tech dominated and covered the spread in every game where the opponent QB is simply a pocket qb who is not mobile. This game will be lot closer than the spread indicates and 14 points in a divisional rivarly game in this situation holds value.
