**2/24 Plays of the Day**

I wanted to post this prior to the morning. I will have a write-up tomorrow for all on this game.. It's a 5 unit play...

Michigan St +2.5/3 at Michigan
MSU lost last season in Ann Arbor in a game that was the sole meeting between the two arch-rivals on the year. This year it's back to Ann Arbor for there ONE and ONLY meeting against the homecourt favorite Michigan Wolverines. Michigan is coming off a HUGE homecourt win vs. Wisky and is hoping for a ncaa tourney berth.. NOT GONNA HAPPEN! Michigan St. need this W to take a firm lead on claiming the BIG 10 championship I see Sparty raising the bar on defense taking the crowd out of the game and getting even from last years lose to there hated rivals...

MSU +2.5/3
MSU ml +115/120

Kodiak, if you don't mind, how do you break down your units? Your five unit plays are POY? POW? Cause I've seen that you refer to them that way, and, now with units. Please advise.

YES a 5unit is a POY...

3 unit POW
2 unit TOP
1 unit AVG.

I will highlight the POY tomorrow... People get very jumpy by the term POY.. so I thought I'd tone it down and simply say 5unit for tonight...

homecourt is huge in the BIG TEN, but tomorrow in this play, it played right into a POY for me.. MSU should not be getting points to Michigan easy as that.. MSU should be -3.5/4.... an I'd still hit them at that...

I liked Michigan St at first glance today as well. Michigan didn't impress me that much against Wiscy, Wiscy was ice cold, Harris was 5-21 I believe. He missed a load of wide open 3s, as did Wade and others. Michigan plays lazy defense which will give MSU wide open looks and MSU is one of the best shooting teams in the nation.

Matt your exactly correct.. MSU is also the best freethrow shooting team in the conference and one of the TOP 3 in the nation.. Michigan will get into foul trouble with DAVIS being FEED steadily underneath... With MSU on the line early and often it'll be free points and a mum Crysler Arena...

Izzo was not happy with that lose last year in Ann Arbor.. From recruiting to pride this is a HUGE revenge game for MSU... Throw in the conference title and we have ourself a MISMATCH / homecourt or not!

And many of you know I bleed blue not green when it comes to in-state colors...

as far as the line on this game.. I have not hit it yet I will tonight.. I see it at 2/2.5.. I will buy the hook at 2.5 just because that is what I do with large plays like this and the line at 2.5.. I will also hit the money line at +115/+120...

I have to agree with Michigan State. I am locked in at +2.5 for 1/2 unit. Will watch line closely and either lock in entire bet at that price or try to get +3. I see this line staying at -2 or so though. Michigan coming off huge win just a day ago. It will be very difficult to do it again against State.

I'd take MSU plus the points myself, but "Michigan plays lazy defense"!?

1st in the conference in steals and blocked shots, 4th in defensive scoring, defensive FG% and rebounds - how is that lazy?

ANd yes i stand by my statement that Michigan plays lazy, I have watched them play 5 or 6 times in the Big 10 season. They give up open shots a lot, I guess maybe they arent going down for the other team, giving up wide open 3 pointers to IU in the first half buried them, Wiscy had tons of good looks. 1st in Steals doesnt mean you are necessarily playing great D, it just might mean you are gambling a lot, I stand by my statement that Michigan is lazy fundamentally and out of position a lot.
